Great place to get your games at reasonable prices, plenty of choices for many platforms. The staff is very helpful and pleasant and knows a great deal too. There are mainly used games, controls, headphones, smart watches, speakers, etc all at great price and in very good condition.
Ridiculous policy, sold 2 xbox series s, neither had controllers so they had to deduct the price of a controller from each xbox, now £25 is the price of a controller brand new but they tried to deduct £38 from each xbox. So I had to go to game and buy 2 x controller for £24.99 each and give them to CEX who then made me wait another 10 minutes whilst they tested them! Brand new in sealed boxs! Saved myself £26 but alot of faff.
Failed to record my details at least that's their reason for not contacting me when my PS4 Pro was rejected due to a missing sticker, but managed to create a membership account for me - Which doesn't add up. I wasn't informed that should my item fail I have 2 weeks to collect it before it's forfeited and no longer my property. Fortunately 2 weeks to the day I was very near by and thought I should check that my account had been credited, to be told a missing warranty sticker had failed it... I was shown where it should be and as the employee put my PS4 box back into the box sleeve with it upright, meaning should she slip [which she did] it would damage the sleeve the sleeve was damaged behind the counter. It was quickly popped into a bag and returned. I took a picture immediately after getting into my car and finding it. After contacting customer service I was essentially told the employee denied it and as I had no proof because they don't record the packaging quality in the test process, ie there's no record of it *not* being damaged when I initially dropped it off, it was a case of tough luck. After a lot of back and forth I was begrudgingly given a small voucher to try and smooth things over. Edit: 6 months on I decided to give them another chance - I bought a monitor online from them £130, so not a cheap one I collected it in store, where I was handed the 28" lump, with stand and cables - No box or bag of any description. I got it home to find within 5 minutes that it had an occasional flicker... Typically within 2-5 minutes, occasionally it'd take longer, but it was always present. I swapped cables and monitors to ensure it was definitely the monitor. Additionally to this, the monitor hadn't been cleaned thick dust in crevaces and glue residue down the front left side, but was rated as a Grade B. The speaker was also damaged sound quality was incredibly poor. I reported this to customer services and the back and forth was ended with "take it back, we'll replace or refund it". Despite the fact it blatantly hadn't been tested, there was no gesture of good will this time, not even an apology after it was tested and found to be faulty, just a refund issued. Twice I've tried CEX specifically this store, I've genuinely never dealt with such poor customer service, let alone twice.
Terrible rude staff who really don't have a clue about the products they buy or sale. They certainly will try to make a bar of gold sound like a piece of wood.... Product knowledge is so poor when you have to explain what simple items are
Good service, nice staff, reasonable money offered, some good products for resale
When you buy something from there they say if you get any problems bring it back and we're give you your money back. But when you try and take something back they make it so hard for you 2 get your money back STAY AWAY FROM BRIDGWER BRANCH the manager is childish and tries to belittle you

A great store, only request would be to put more easily removable stickers or none at all on dvds/blu rays/games, it gets very annoying when I try to peel them off and it leaves the remains of the sticker all over the cover lol
The staff in cex well have a look on a computer to see if thay have got it in the shop for you
Deceptive no warranty assistance it's sold as seen in here and when trading if they don't have money they lie your item is faulty
