We plan our journey from Wales to Devon to ensure we can stop by Pynes for a fabulous hog roast & once again they were happy to sell us a stash of delicious meat in a tray, topped with stuffing and apple sauce! Best hog roast meat you'll probably ever have!nnAnd the team are always delightful too!

If you are driving down the M5 - this place is worth a ten minute detour to feast on magnificent breakfast rolls & meat rolls for lunch.  We popped in today purely by chance as in the area and wanted lunch.  Glad we did - Hot pork with apple sauce,crackling & stuffing was amazing such great value, stacked full of yummy tender pork £4.99. We also had a hot beef sub roll topped with gravy, again a fab amount of delicious beef £5.99. They also have a roast dinner for a mere £7.99 - great value folks.nnAfter eating our lunch we popped into the Shop - really good selection of meat, cheese, fish, veg etc... all the staff were really friendly & helpful.nnFive stars for this place .

Nice friendly butchers. They cary a wide range of products not just meat but fish and shellfish, cider, preserves etc.nnThey have weekly specials as well.nnThey also have a hot servery with hog roast, roast beef and lots more on a roll.

Best butchers for miles  staff super friendly and great choice of meat. The take away highly recommended with superb bacon  rolls. Just a mile from junction 24 of the M5. Great stop off if heading home from Devon or Cornwall.  You know it makes sense.

I've been reading 'The Extra Mile' and it recommends places to stop off while travelling, instead of the usual service station. This cafe / farm shop / takeaway was a great stop. Very friendly service, good coffee, excellent hot and cold food selection to take away, plus a cafe, and farm shop food and drinks to buy. Toilet facilities and places to sit inside and out.
