I bought my first ever tropical aquarium. The staff have been amazing from the start. And I can assure you I have asked millions of questions and even phoned them. Nothing is too much bother and they tested my water for me to be sure before i purchased my fish. They really are fab and would 100% recommend for their knowledge and care.
What can be said, absolutely brilliant company to deal with, as a reef keeper my self this is now my favourite place to head, Ben and Sam are great knowledge for those wanting to enter into marines, stock levels can be low compared to other stockist but they can order from TMC most thing as I have found out wanting inverts. Plenty of equipment and stock and today pick up a bubble magnus miniQ skimmer that's was the cheapest even compared to online prices. Toilet facilities is great and the staff are brilliant even when every one descends and it get a but chaotic of people waiting and needing help. Massive stock of fresh water and tropical fish, even reptiles if that your thing, don't to spider or snakes!!!!myself They have a massive collection of aquarium components, lighting, pumps, skimners, reef additives and sand, filter you name it they have it. It is the best aquarium supllier and stockest in Somerset. My advice is if you know what you want just ask they will be able to get it if not instock. Well done to all the staff for being so polite and having the time to talk. And for the customer don't turn up at closing time when the staff wanna get home to see there families all of in work have had enough by the end of day.
When we visited here in late November there was a good selection of animals, from tortoises to fish. All looked healthy and well looked after, and the deputy manager Jon? was happy to give his time and great advice to my partner
Bought 5 discus fish which cost over £200. one of the discus fish was dark before I bought it. He said it’s normal. It ended up being hole in the head which killed 2 of the fish I bought and one of my big discus which I had for a year. I went back to the shop and they just said nothing they can do it’s common in discus. I have owned discus for over 3 years and kept tropical fish for nearly 20 years now and Never had any problem before I bought the fish from there. I even drove 30miles each way. They don’t know any thing about fish or plants. Will never buy from there again They put on the review to email them to discuss the matter. You never get a reply back. Waist of time If you put on the comments to mail you about the problem then please email back a reply
I actually didn't need anything for an aquatic animal. They were the only place stocking something that would fit my diesel heater on the day. so I wouldn't have to sit in the cold waiting for parts to arrive. Very helpful people. It must have been their strangest request, but they helped me with several options to choose from.
Turned up at 4.45 they close at 5.30 asked the man behind the counter to get us some shrimp, the first thing he did was look at his watch! He then shrugged and unenthusiastically walked over to the shrimp area. Also poor lack of knowledge. £50 later I felt proper unappreciated
Always great quality products for sale but live food for pets can be hit and miss, if you go in on the right day then you will be fine for stock but other days can be minimal stock available.
Such a lovely store to visit. The staff members are very knowledgeable, helpful and resourceful. We visited this store to purchase a Juwel Vision 260 LED tank with base cabinet SBX vision 260. They helped us with the entire set up, including helping load it into my Peugeot 208 HDI. The amount of friendliness was very pleasant to receive and get within a store. There is a massive variety of supplies in their store including animals.

Disappointed. Rang with specs for a fish tank stand, was given advice and told them I would be there to purchase their advised product that day. Drove 60mins to arrive and purchase. Upon arrival shop is shut for planned maintenance that I was NOT warned about. Waited around for three hours in area for it to reopen. Upon reopening, went inside. I was told by a different assistant that the advised stand would NOT be appropriate. Was given advice for another stand that was 3x the price. I informed them of my disappointment. Although they apologised, I certainly didn't feel satisfied with my experience. On top of this, their marine tank area was in disrepair and the floor certainly wasn't clean. My daughter noticed some bio matter on the floor, which she believed to be a dead fish. There was substantial dust on their shelved product, suggesting perhaps there is a lot of aged stock. Summary: Bad advice. Expensive product. Not a pleasant environment. Although they did apologise. I wish they had offered some level of compensation.
