Awesome! A great Irish pub! Tucked in between two other establishments. You enter into a smaller area but the back offers much more room and it is a great set up! Smoking section is in the back too. Of course we had the beef and Guinness Stew and it was really good! The portions are large, so it is quite sufficient! And what else - beer of course! The back bathrooms are new and clean! The staff is super friendly! The decor is awesome! During the day - authentic Irish music, then live music inside. It is not as touristy as other places and we utterly enjoyed it and highly recommend!
The Celt was one of my favorite pubs in Dublin and definitely worth checking out, especially as it isn’t as touristy as some other places. The beginning of the pub is small and cozy though doesn’t offer much seating, but there is another much larger room and bar in the back. We got a drink in the back but ended up moving to the front as that is where the live music plays. I can’t speak for the food though the people next to us said their meals were great. If you don’t eat and then realize you need a quick bite to eat late like we did, I’d recommend Pa Pa Pizzeria down the street.
Loved the ambience and the food was delicious too. I liked the bread pudding and the chicken and garlic fries. My friends liked the fish and chips and the brownies as well. Only thing that would’ve been better is more gluten free/vegetarian options.
What an incredible pub in the heart of Dublin! The wait staff are incredibly personable and will even stop and take your picture if you ask. The food is incredibly delicious and not expensive. Can't say enough good about this pub. Best in Dublin ... don't walk by!
Visited on St Patty's day, was far too busy to get food, drink, or see anything so we came back the next day. The next day was steady but not busy. We were able to get a table in the front bar area. The decor and atmosphere were everything I wanted in an Irish pub. It felt old but in good condition. There was Irish folk music playing and some locals singing along from time to time. The waitress was terrible by any standard. She didn't tell us she was our waitress when we sat, she just pointed us to a seat. Didn't take our drink order and got visibly upset when we ordered drinks from the bar. The bartenders weren't the politest either. Then when she took our order she cashed us out before the food came, not too big a deal we thought at the time. But the wrong food came out and she didn't leave a tab so we had no way to tell she misheard us until it came out. After that we couldn't find her. We decided NOT to have another drink and went elsewhere for drinks and food. Also the back area was closed, which from the pictures what the nicest looking area and where we would have liked to sit. Overall a disappointment.
This place is absolutely magical and super creative! Their food is delicate and delicious, no matters if you want to eat a lot or just have some snacks. Together with a traditional, classic and particular environment, the Celt really manages to capture your attention and your tongue too!, so I'd definitely recommend it. A must if you want to have fun in Dublin! Also, Angelina rocks!
A place where you can truly enjoy the typical Irish pub atmosphere, with nice music and amazing fish and chips. Service was fast and nice. Totally approved and 100% suggested for a full Irish experience. Don’t forget to order a good pint of Guinness!
Awesome pub atmosphere with really good food and a great vibe. There was live music as well. The prices aren’t exactly the cheapest but we decided to splash a bit. Can recommend the Irish Stew and the Bangers & Mash
You can’t come to Dublin and miss this place. The food is a full immersion with the Irish culture, made fantastically good. The place is beautiful, very iconic. Fantastic music and the staff is OUTSTANDING - friendly, nice and kind. This is an above and beyond and I would come back here every day if I could!
I went on Halloween night. It wasn’t too packed. The food came fast and someone was always checking to see if I needed anything. I didn’t feel rushed to hurry up and eat. Fish & chips were okay. I don’t know what fish was used and that could explain the flavor. Bread & pudding is a Must!!! It was the reason I went there. Great places to watch a game in the back bar too.
