This place is very nice and clean and staff are super friendly and helpful but I wouldn't recommend it if you want to be focused to study as it can ver very noisy. I had to leave because of this. But as a social space to use computers and internet is very good
This is such a lovely library for kids - the craft sessions are brilliant, and the staff are so friendly and helpful, I always feel better for having spent some time there!
Beautiful library that's calm with clean toilets. The staff are amazing, they are very friendly, welcoming and always willing to help with enquiries. The atmosphere is always nice for both children and adults. Highly recommended.
It's a nice little library. We found it clean and well organised, with lots of relevant books. We went during a weekday so it wasn't as noisy as some of the other reviews say. It is all in one shared space, but the people were respectful and quiet during our visit.
Nice library if a bit noisy at times with minimal space to study. But staff are friendly and it’s a nice space. Note that most of the reviews here are from before this particular branch opened, which was only in summer 2022.
Great place friendly staff the only thing that's negative is the kids being noisy which can be disturbing!!! Perhaps a separate room for them would be ideal! The toilets are always very dirty which to me is unacceptable!
Mad house library, I have never seen anything like it. The children section, the reading and studying its all in the same room without any walls for the sound. Limited space, full of children being loud as they should. People having full blast phone conversation. A bus is quieter than this library. Come here if you want to be unproductive . Even a guy came to do fantastic story telling to the children, so loud, he was great getting the children attention but also mine! Had to leave
I and my child went to the library because he wanted to be on the computer. Once there, a child came up to my son and used his time, to play on the computer. When my son tried to tell them why they are doing this, they were rude and went to tell the library staff about this. But then the library staff came, and were rude as well. They told me and my child to leave despite us not doing anything. And both myself and my child, were polite. The security also weren't helpful, as they weren't paying good attention to what was happening. Due to this disrespect at me and my child, by the library staff, I definetaly feel like I am not coming back.
It's nice to have a new facility and Catford desperately needs its own library. However - there are some drawbacks. 1. It's really doesn't seem big enough to serve the local community 2. There is only one loo 3. Said loo doesn't have baby changing there's room for one so hopefully it's coming.
My two year old Granddaughter and I love using the library, there is a wonderful selection of books for her to choose and we enjoy spending time reading and sharing books together whilst we are there.
