I took my son here to get some info for a school project. I think it's now their main showroom. There was some company history, including a formula one car and a few concepts as well as their full range of cars starting at just over £20grand and up. Friendly staff who were more than happy to help my son and I and we wondered around looking at their modern take on the classic Lotus 7 cars. Well worth a visit if you're into sports or classic cars. Plenty of parking and easy to find.
Fabulous Caterham cars showroom - very welcoming - you can walk in - view the cars on display and see the workshops.
Had a great day here at the Open Day. What an amazing event to host and so so many cars to admire. Really good day and a special thanks to Georgia for getting me a passenger ride in this beauty... thank you
I did post a review with 5 stars/very positive, but have revised it to two stars as follows. I've just bought a used 2019 620S from Caterham South. James Wilson was very helpful during the purchase of the car, taking the time to answer my questions, etc. On taking the car away I discovered that the brake fluid was low this causes an error to show up under harder acceleration in a Caterham. The car had just been through a major service as part of the sale and a full roadcheck apparently, so whilst frustrating I thought I would give Caterham Gatwick the benefit of the doubt. I returned to have this rectified. Then upon going through the service booklet I received when I collected the car, it seemed that several items that needed to be replaced in its major 2 year service weren't included in my bill provided on collection. I followed up with James by email to check if these were done...after a week of chasing, and then finally speaking with Euan Milne, I was informed very matter of fact that the gearbox oil, supercharger oil and clutch fluid weren't replaced as per their service schedule! I'm not sure how this has happened I wasn't given a reason or an apology on the phone but it isn't acceptable to me. I also wasn't provided a HPI certificate when I collected the car, I was promised it would be sent by Euan when he was back in the office the following week. 10 days later I had to chase it up. My experience post Caterham Gatwick sealing the deal with my deposit has been disappointing. A real shame after having owned a Caterham for five years previously and having great service and aftercare from other suppliers Millwood & Boss Racing.
Rented a 310R for a week fabulous experience. Customer service on collection could have been better but was faultless on return. Wouldn't hesitate to repeat it miss the car already and its only been an hour
Following todays ‘brand new car’ Warranty Appointment having waited 3 weeks. Repairs needed: Broken drivers seat runner, no speedometer, or wipers/washers since new, dead Battery & re-affix front number plate. Pleased to report that the above repairs were completed & only had one breakdown since, due to electrical system!
What a fantastic bunch of people, couldn't be more helpfull, will by another Caterham 7 from them.
Superb little car albeit very expensive. Very helpful staff. Saving like mad to get one of the cheaper models. More money does not necessarily mean more fun. Shoukd almost be ready to place order in early 2023.
One day I'll buy one. One day. Open day was great fun but getting a bit too busy! Long are the days when you could drop into a couple of cars to try them out. Nice kind staff.
Below Average Experience. This should have been an awesome experience - specifying a new Caterham exactly as I wanted. Unfortunately all through the process you are left feeling like you are doing them a favour buying a car from them, and if you dont like anything, tough. Nobody appears to have any autonomy, and it takes escalation to senior management to have an adult conversation. I wont drag through all the issues, but Caterham need to understand the words customer service and customer experience. A few examples. Can I get some pictures of the car in build/finised? NO. The LED tail lights you have been advertising now for some months, I'd like to see if there is a way to get them on my car that hasnt even started build yet. NO You need to pay in FULL for the car, long before you even set eyes on it. I'd like to hold some money back until I've seen it. NO Could you pick me up from Gatwick Train station when I come to collect the car 2 miles. NO. Get the bus. really. When the car was delivered the headlight was not tightened properly so swivelled round when I first drove it. I've tightened this, but of course now it needs properly aligining somewhere, the only offer by Euan was to take it to Gatwick. When I pointed out this was a 400 mile round trip there was no suggestion of taking it somehwere else at their cost, just "ok". The car was also delivered with a thimble of fuel, which seems pretty mean spirited to me. Overall Caterham COULD make the whole buying process a LOT better with some small changes through the way, but there appears to be a total arrogance due to the demand levels which is a big shame.
