Finally the tea room in middleham was open under new management only 3 tables and a huge L shape sofa which we had to sit on which is not good for people with mobility issues. However we could have left but wanted to try the place out The coffee and scone was ok for us and service okFood: 3/5
Very over priced. £13 for a breakfast which consisted of 1 sausage, 2 slices of bacon, 1 egg, half a tomato, 2 mushrooms and a slice of toast
Fantastic breakfast never had better.. more than I could eat... thank you.
Amazing ruin with a very impressive Keep which can be climbed by the more hardy keep is not accessible to disabled to give great views of the site and surrounding area. Parking is right outside and the area is flat but grassy with some access ramps. Very friendly staff with a small gift shop. No toilets on site but public ones are a short walk away. Do watch children as there are many areas where they could easily fall as this is a ruin, not a play area.
Visited late today and we were the only customers. The tea room is quite small but felt very neat and clean. All the tables had linen tablecloths topped with glass. We both had scones, which were a good size and tasted delicious. I opted for a redbush tea and my wife had Earl Grey. A very pleasant experience all round and made even better by costing less than £10. Will definitely come back next time we are in the Dales.
12 walkers made very welcome. Lovely spacious cafe. Speedy service. Lovely tea and fabulous freshly baked scones. Yummy!
Lovely homemade soup. Courteous and friendly service and good view of the horses returning from the gallop. Good value for money.
Fantastic little place, a real family run business, the food was amazing, I know a cheese toastie sounds basic, but it was delicious and came with a tasty salad, freshly prepared, my tea for one was actually tea for four the time I'd finished and my freshly made scone with cream and jam, just WOW HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
Lovely fresh food and great service! Please note this is a cash only establishment - the nearest cash point is across the road in the local shop.
Great food very welcoming ploughman’s lunch for me and quiche for my wife simply excellent.
