A menu that says “we cook all of these things really well, this is why they’re on there” is what you want at any pub or restaurant. This is what The Queens Head does. Service is excellent by the way so don’t forget about this!nThe menu forgets about some pub classics burgers and fish & chips but makes up for it with some other dishes that are cooked to some of the best ‘pub food’ quality you’ll find. The flavours were exceptional in all of the dishes, seasoned really well and with huge ‘Yorkshire’ portions all round, what more is there to want?nAfter recent visits to Hetton and Harome, pubs and great food are the essence of my life. This one is excellent and let it be known! It isn’t The Angel or The Star and it isn’t trying to be but we will absolutely be back to The Queens Head because what it and the team does, is brilliant and delicious. Oh, and the views are pretty decent too!nKeep up the great work team.
Great food, fish and chips were worth every penny! Great surroundings and service. The new look and feel is fresh and inviting and has retained its country charm! Really lovely . Great yorkshire hospitality! Good luck to the new owners !
Excellent meal I had the thai vegetable curry followed by the strawberry sundae, partner had the burger followed by the gonger sponge. Both meals well cooked, well served and delicious. Washed down by a couple of pints of the beautiful neck oil. We shall be back.
Myself and my family ate here on New Year's day and it was one of the best meals I have ever had! The food served here is divine.nnFantastic selection of ales and the staff are helpful and very friendly. Lovely little village and a beautiful pub throughout.nnWe will definitely be back here soon!
