Wonderful hotel. The room took our breath away with size and comfort levels. The fireplace downstairs is amazing. Breakfast was very nice. Incredible to stay here at last after having first seen the Castle in The Prisoner nigh on 50 years ago.

Food was absolutely delicious. The plan was spectacular - light and airy but cosy at the same time with the open fire going. The only reason it's 4 and not 5 is that some of the staff seemed a bit disinterested and getting anyone's attention when we wanted to pay the bill of all things, proved to be quite a challenge!

Went for a meal only not a stay but been before and it's a lovely place , full of character,food and hospitality first class. Would always come again
