Basildon branch. Bought carpet for 3 bedrooms,stairs & hall the carpet turned up at the shop with defect I was told 4-6 weeks and this was 6th week so had to wait for new carpet to arrive I was stressed as you can imagine and there was a couple of heated conversations from me but Amy Manager handled it professionally and kept to her word. I had Paul Spurs and steve fit my carpet to a top standard i would totally recommend these guys 100% ask for them to fit. i'm glad i did not read the reviews as a few other people who bought from carpet wright had a bad time that would have put me off. I can say myself I would use them again because seeing the dark times we have had with covid in my eyes they done OK and got there in the end thank you all who helped I'm over the moon with the work.
Very very disappointed for the service we received carpet right Basildon. Please don’t give reviews in store after ordering your carpet until you have your carpet fitted then review. Make sure they send one of their own workers to fit the carpet not any contractors to fit it. First of all they gave our order to someone else and made us wait for triple amount of time. Finally after 4 months they came for fitting, they sent a contractor who decided not to fit the carpet because it was too difficult for them. Left the job undone giving no reason. The only sentence he spoke was that I am told by my manger not to do this job? He didn’t allow us to speak to his manager and sort this out. He simply left taking the carpet back with him!
CARPETWRONG AVOID - Ordered flooring in June - Chevron oak wood floor Order was only just fulfilled last weekend and had a separate fitter complete the job. June - Floor Ordered told could take 6-8 weeks and they will contact us They over quoted us to begin with after coming out to measure the room and advised we needed less than originally thought. End of Sept - We contacted the store as we had heard nothing who advised the floor was ready and had been for over a month. No-one informed us. The next available floor fitting date was mid October. October - CR fitter came to install, within 10 mins said they was unable to fit the floor and required an extra £400 to level the floor. we asked if we could return the flooring as this was out of budget, took 3 weeks for CR to tell us yes or no. yes - but we couldn't return anything opened - despite their floor fitter opening boxes and their would be a cutting fee - wood floor is sold in boxes lol? At this point we decided to get other quotes to have the floor laid and of course we found others who would do the fitting and advised we do not need the extra £400 worth of works as CR suggested. November - Get independent fitter to lay floor, of course there isn't enough flooring! CW had misquoted/measured wrong despite coming to measure the room themselves. This was blamed on a system issue?! November/December - ringing CR daily for updates, am told the flooring is discontinued despite still advertised online. Another store has 3 boxes we needed, we're told cannot have it. 3 weeks later CR advise we can now have those boxes. Finally arrive and they are too large. No one thought to check the sizes! December - Finally CR manage to order the the remaining flooring, we had to pick it up ourselves and had to ring CR pretty much each day for updates. Noone would contact us. Customer service and the store would pass us round the houses and not help. Would make promises to provide updates and hear nothing. Would be told so many different things by different areas of the company. Im still waiting to hear back from them on compensation due to the awful service and their lack to fulfil their contract with client. Awful communication and service. Noone wanted to help. This was our first order with CW - do yourself a favour and find an independent company who will complete the job at a better standard and respect their customers.

Excellent service in Carpetright Basildon from both Lennie and Amy, helped me select the best underlay for my carpet and provided a clear explanation. Also took into account that I was carpeting my whole house, room by room and gave an excellent price. Very chatty and friendly. Just when you think customer service is non existent, these two turn it around!
Lenny and the surveyor were both polite and knowledgeable. We are fitting out most of the house so finding someone to make this process easier was invaluable.

We were looking for a carpet. Prices are very competitive and/or similar to the other carpet shops in the area of Basildon. The staff were very helpful and polite and friendly here so we have ended up getting our carpet from this shop on this basis.
Very disappointing service received. Still waiting to have an update from the Store Manager... our whole ordeal has been going on for 5 months now. Would not recommend. Update: Almost a year now and we are still no further in getting our issues resolved. We chose carpetright to provide and fit LVT and carpet throughout our whole house. We chose the LVT on the basis that we would not need any scotia beading as the floor could be fitted up against the skirting board as they did not offer the service to remove skirting before fitting. This was told to us by both the sales advisor and surveyor so we went ahead with the order. The week before fitting After waiting a couple of months the fitter told us that this is not the case and we would need the beading. This was incredibly disappointing but we had no flooring and had already been waiting for a couple of months so we agreed to have this fitted and the fitter said he would supply it. The beading was fitted and it is horrible, it is very cheap and has fallen apart across the house. It has also been fitted poorly with visible glue marks everywhere which has consequently caused dust to stick to it and show. We had many other issues alongside this so two members of staff from Carpetright came round to the property to inspect. They took many photos and videos and agreed that the way it had been fitted was not acceptable and they would rectify this. This was back in October and we are still waiting to hear what can be done. The communication has been appalling and no effort has been made to resolve this case and this has gone on for far too long. We returned excess items back in September and were told that the money would need to be held so our case would remain open... the total of this amount was over £500 and we still do not have this because the case is open.
