Established in the heart of the small Swansea Valley village of Pontardawe, Cardamon shows off it's own unique Indian cuisine.

Story

Established in 2006 at the heart of the small Swansea Valley town in Pontardawe, Cardamon shows off it's own unique Indian flavours with unique spices. With a chef who has been in Pontardawe for the past 30 years, with his first restaurant being Indian Cottage which was opened back in 1985.

The people of Pontardawe were overwhelmed with the experience of Chef Raz and his front of house staff, who offered an atmosphere of nothing that could be matched in the area. After a while chef Raz had went off on an adventure, but realised that Pontardawe was his home.

He came back to Pontardawe and opened up Cardamon in 2006. Now with his new team and still a passion for cooking, the people of Pontardawe have now been accustomed once again with their favourite chef. With experience of cooking and mixing beautifully blended spices, to get your taste buds excited, we are here to stay and serve traditional Indian cooking, with fresh ingredients and spices.

Got to be the best in the Swansea Valley. We have visited offen & will continue to do so. Value for money excellent service, good food is worth waiting for everytime. Highly recommended.
First time eating here and would definitely go back. Starter, main course and side dish were all delicious and full of flavour. Service was excellent, staff were very polite and smartly dressed and decor and atmosphere was lovely. As a couple having dinner out it was perfect.
I had takeaway on 21st December and it was burnt and I had to throw away. Tried to email them to complain but email not working their side. Usually eat there once a month but will not be going back there again .

Visited cardomon with a few friends twice since re opening under new management and had a great experience both times. food was great, waiters were lovely and polite and very helpful when deciding what to choose. Highly recommend!!
The food is nice but the price they are charging for soft drinks are absolutely atrocious, we were charged £4.60 for a pint of Lemonade absolutely shocking, it is far too much when you have 4 children dining with you

Consistently good food, friendly helpful staff and great service. Hard to beat. We have eaten here throughout more than 20 years and never had an unsatisfactory meal and the service has always been friendly and good. The chef is due to retire next week and it will be closing. It will be the end of an era but our thanks to everyone there for their service throughout the years. All the best for the future.
Amazing restaurant. Beautiful tasty food. Warm and friendly welcome and atmosphere. Been here on numerous occasions and always had a lovely, hot and tasty meal. Staff are really friendly and welcoming. Would recommend to anyone but really busy especially on weekends so would advise booking but also do take away which is just as nice.
Got to be the best I have had. Fabulous value excellent service. Highly recommended
