The Calypso Restaurant is delighted to offer a regular program of live entertainment evenings when you can enjoy not only a great meal but also the great sounds of a traditional jazz band or perhaps a Neal Diamond tribute artist. Read more below.
But maybe you came to this page because you were wondering whether the Calypso Restaurant could accommodate your own "special event" and look after it all for you — a wedding reception, a christening party, a retirement do, etc. Can we do it? Yes we can. For an exclusive, private event, you are able to hire the whole restaurant, and we will provide either a full sit-down meal or a buffet with all necessary staff and bar facilities. Alternatively, we can (and frequently do) cater for parties of all kinds within the normal life of the restaurant. Whatever kind of event you have in mind, simply contact David to talk it through.

Whatever the event, The Calypso Restaurant will be happy to cater for it. And please don't think are restaurant area is not large enough for the event you have in mind ... We can provide a marquee of whatever size is necessary on our large car park.
If you have an event you want to celebrate, we can offer you everything from a private gourmet dinner for 10 to a full scale party with music and dancing for up to 150 people.
We can accommodate up to 70 people for a seated meal or up to 150 for a finger buffet. It has its own bar and toilets ensuring you total privacy for your event.
We will tailor the event to your specific requirements and offer a variety of menus created and cooked on the premises with flair and care by our talented team of chefs using only fresh ingredients. Menu details coming soon
As well as stocking a wide variety of wines and spirits, We also stocks popular draught beers and lagers including Fosters, Guinness, Strongbow and John Smiths all at standard pub prices. If you require Our license allows us to supply alcohol till 1am every day (except Sunday)
We have a full music license and can provide a variety of musical talent from classical guitarists to seven-piece jazz bands to suit your needs. We also have our own state-of-the-art PA, disco and lighting set-up and can provide our own dj to entertain your guests. Alternatively, you can provide your own entertainment.
As part of our service, our party co-ordinators will work with you closely to ensure your party gives your guests an unforgettable night and will arrange table and room decorations, cameras etc on your behalf or you can provide your own.
