First time visit for a meal before a concert at the Cathedral. The atmosphere inside is great. Friendly and welcoming. The decor inside and music makes it feel authentic. The service from Luke was great, he was polite, attentive and happy to have a natter. The food was lovely, plenty of vegetarian options too. The menu is very spicy but there are options for milder tastes. Overall experience was great and will be returning.

The food was fantastic, the restaurant was packed, however, our server didn't do a very good job at hiding the fact she didn't want to be there. Brought a solemn vibe to the experience.Food: 5/5
Lit up from the outside this venue is very welcoming. Soft ambient lighting indoors always gives a romantic feel drawing you to go inside. Also the promise of 2 for 1 cocktails might have something to do with it. I have eaten here a few times now and it lived up to expectations in every way. Inside the lighting does seem quite dim but adds to the atmosphere and the decor is rustic Caribbean and this makes you imagine you are in a different country. Everything is brightly coloured and fun. I have been fortunate enough never to have to book in advance but have seen it both very busy and also quite at other times. The table sauces look scary hot but do compliment the food incredibly. Even the toilets represent a beach hut feel. Food has never been fast to come out no matter how busy it is but worth the wait when it does. Also Jamaican Red Stripe lager on tap for as true Caribbean feel. Did I mention the cocktails. Food wise I have tried the Jerk chicken breast and half Jerk chicken. Both made with ghost chilli pepper sauce. Yes it's hot but you can still taste the flavours. Looking forward to my next visit.
This is not the first experience I’ve had at Turtle Bay. But this was the request of the birthday girl so I went The ambience was lovely. Being a Caribbean girl, the music was right up my street. I went in on Friday morning to drop off the cake and some balloons. As a group, we returned at 6pm. A party of 6. On entering the restaurant we were greeted by a chipper man who seated us but forgot to give us menus. After 10mins, I went for the menus. The server, a young girl, seemed very unhappy when she arrived at our table and she remained that way for the duration of our stay at restaurant. No one came to take our order so one of men in our group went to ask if someone can come over to take the order for drinks and food. We all ordered 2 courses. Starter and main. The starter was delicious, we all ordered doubles. For the main, that’s where the disaster began. One person out of the 6 of us sent back their dish. It was replaced but on eating the fried chicken, she said the meat tasted like it was spoilt and it smelled funny. For me personally, I had the same issue with my meat but it was only when I got close to the bone did I get the smell and taste. One of the other people in the group ordered the vegetarian platter and the meal was left uneaten. Another ordered a chicken roti wrap and that was left uneaten. When the server came over to our table and asked if every thing was okay, just by her poor mannerism and attitude, we just decided to ask for the bill and leave. We asked back for the cake. And decided to take it elsewhere to continue the birthday celebration. The bill was just under £150. And when she came to bring back the change, she put the money right up in my face. I told her, it was okay, keep it. Even though we were charged gratuity on the bill already. What poor customer service and poor food. The cocktails and mocktails were good. Kid-friendliness: It was good. Colouring book was given.
Loved the team.Luke, Sha and Natasha. Really friendly banter and environment was relaxed. Food was amazing from the festivals, garlic prawn starters to the jerk chicken. So much spice and amazing flavours. My go to place when next in Blackburn. Thanks Turtle Bay it's been beautiful Dietary restrictions: They had food for meat lover, vegans and vegetarians.
We went to turtle bay before a Paul smith show, On a Thursday, Sha served us and couldn’t have been nicer. She talked us though the menu and was a credit to the restaurant. The food was ok but the cocktails were amazing 2,4,1. Needless to say we left very happy ready for our night out. Thanks sha Vegetarian options: Great choices my wife had a vegan mother clucker burger and Mac n cheese

We were served by a kind lady called Chelsea and the service was impeccable as well as the amazing cocktails from Natasha. Plenty of recommendations, which were great, and an overall great atmosphere in the venue these girls deserves a raise!Food: 5/5
The ambience is great, the service is excellent but extremely let down by the food! We tried their starters and mains. The coconut rice tasted so weird and the starters were disappointing. I’ve had Jerk chicken from many places so it was quite a surprise. Should’ve tried the burgers. It looked quite nice on the other tables.Food: 1/5
