My favourite coffee stop in town. I have a very specific order, extra hot, large cappuccino which is skinny and very wet. Bit like a latte with foam. Always good and if I need to request more milk they even offer to remake it. This isn't needed but I sometimes ask for a spot of extra milk which they give me in a little jug. Beautiful. My first time here....i did a change of mind because Costa next door was too busy. The Cafe Nero is a bit dark and instead of feeling cosy it feels old fashioned and solid. The coffee was served promptly but without much enthusiasm. It was more bitter than I like and on the side of lukewarm. The lemon drizzle cake was acceptable but had a commercial and homemade feel. Would I come here again .... no I'll explore what other coffee shops in Gloucester offer.

Good coffee and staff, but they expect everyone to climb a flight of stairs with a heavy tray of drinks? Not so sure about that. There are tables downstairs and outside but not very often that they are free for the prior reason.
