A friend convinced me to go to Cafe Rouge for breakfast as we had a 2 for 1 voucher. Seemed worth trying it out. The food was okay but when we came to pay the building it turned out that if you order the full breakfast with drinks included off of the standard menu they class that breakfast as a promotion when it just looks like one of the options on the menu, and the voucher does not apply to the full price of the breakfast. Left feeingl rather conned as this promotion they are running saved us about £1 on the total bill for 2 breakfasts. My friend was paying but I would not have agreed to go here if I'd know that it was going to coat her so much. Don't like promotions that are not clear and don't provide the value they proport to. Final result, I'm not going back to a Cafe Rouge again.

Really impressed with this place. The food and coffee is great and they instantly set- about making it disabled friendly for my Nan who was in a wheelchair. My only criticism is that there's a step up to get to the loos which my Nan could get out of her chair for but others couldn't. If this could be rectified Cafe Rouge would be perfect!

We had a great evening celebrating my partners 40th birthday. They made it extra special by getting him a card, producing a glass of champagne each on arrival and a candle on his pudding! Food was lovely and the service great! Thank you so much xx

Cafe Rouge is still a favourite eating place. reliably good food in a lovely atmosphere. I wasn't so keen on the musician in the corner this evening - it made it too noisy to hear conversation very easily.

Often come here & we are always served efficiently, good food, nice atmosphere. Ideally located in the middle of the Town.
