We decided to hold a wake at the Cadogan being relatively close to the crematorium. The staff were fantastic. Matthew arranged the afternoon and is an absolute credit to the company. The food was delicious and plentiful even catering to our gluten free guest. Looking forward to going for more happier times. If you are looking for a beautiful location, lovely food and friendly staff I would recommend.
The best friendliest service - we arrived pretty much by accident and the staff made us feel completely welcome. The food is incredible please try the Seafood Grill, it's perfect and pretty reasonably priced for such quality. We were given the Earl Suite to stay in, clean, spacious and very comfortable - only negative is based on their afternoon/evening menu, they would do an astounding breakfast but sadly don't open until 12pm. Cannot recommend highly enough. Rooms: Excellent.
Came here for dinner with my sister and mum, and everything was simply amazing! The food was simply delicious, the presentation was beautiful and it was so filling! The service was very good and the team working was very attentive, they asked us whether we had any food allergies which was good, and were very friendly throughout! The only feedback we’d give, is that the cheesecake, which was lovely, would potentially be better off with Chantilly cream instead of a sorbet. Overall; I can’t recommend this place enough! Thank you for a lovely evening and we will definitely be back!!
Came here for a special dinner with hubby, in-laws and son. Lovely setting. Super friendly staff. Were lovely about my citrus allergy. Between us we had steaks, burger and lamb chops plus deserts. Everything beautifully cooked and super delicious. Considering this was a last minute booking, they were perfectly accomodating. Can't wait to come back!
Only dropped in for a drink. Amazed to find two traditional bitters on the bar. Brewshed best bitter was superb. Feels more like a place to eat than a pub but beer was superbService: 4/5
Absolutely 5 star experience. We are staying locally at Forest Holidays and we were keen for a Sunday lunch on Father’s Day. Thetford did not offer too much so looking further afield, The Cadogan menu looked great. 20 mins away from our camp, the staff were so friendly. Drinks on arrival from their own brewery, fantastic. The location and decor was lovely, the garden and play area was perfect and the roast dinner was one of the best I’ve ever had. The roast beef in particular was epic, whatever method the kitchen used to flavour it was unreal. Throughly recommended, well done to all staff for all the effort they put in to make such a great pub. Food & drinks: Local brewery beers and lovely guns
Very friendly staff. Pub itself feels more like a cafe/1990s bistro and is lacking in character. Food was quite tasty although my crispy calamari salad could have done with more noodles and salady things and my trout main was perhaps a bit too creamy and coconutty. But I enjoyed myself nevertheless.
We passed The Cadogan during a long walk, so we decided to pop in for a light lunch even though we had not booked. It took some persuasion to be allowed to lunch there as they said they they were understaffed in the kitchen and they expected a large party for lunch within the hour. We only wanted a light lunch, so eventually, they let us have a meal. We all had sandwiches with either fries or soup, all of which were very tasty. The establishment looked very inviting, and the staff were eventually very friendly and helpful. The menu for a substantial lunch looked very mouth-watering. The local pale ale was well worth the walk.... During our 90-minute stay, no further guests arrived, and most tables were empty
Had a fantastic meal here with friends. Definitely recommend the ham hock scotch egg starter, which was amazing. The only minor downside is that they don't take cash here, cards only. Big thumbs up from meService: 5/5
Went here for my birthday meal. The food was lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful. Really nice atmosphere here. Definitely recommend it, and we will return.Rooms: 5/5
