A better than average pub in Bury St Edmunds. Staff are friendly and there's a decent selection of beers on tap. The staff are generally friendly as well, it's dog friendly and there's a big, covered area outside that's heated if you fancy a drink and it's a bit busy in the fairly small bar. The food is fairly good, but not exceptional for the price. Overall a solid enough place for a pint or a pub meal and better than the "standard" greene kings in town.
Popped in here for a spot of lunch and It was amazing, lovely food and great customer service
Couldn't fault the food, it was really nice, and well cooked.
Great atmosphere, full of local people and visitors. Fantastic undercover courtyard which was very buzzy. Great selection on the menu - brilliant food and great staff. What more could you ask for? Highly recommended if you're ever in Bury St Edmunds.
Absolutely fabulous little town pub. The staff are friendly and can never do enough for you. Highly recommend you book on a weekend as it can get busy in the evenings as it’s such a lovely a place to be. The garden is well seated and has heaters so being outside feels like inside!
Myself and my guests had the worst experience I’ve ever had in over 25 years of enjoying your pub. The rudest person behind the bar named Chris Davies has pretty much left us horrendously insulted and at a loss as to why on earth you have let your lovely pub go so down hill by employing an over grown bully with zero manners. 3 to 4 tables outside last night all had a mutual conversation about this man and that he was the reason we all left the pub and will likely never return. It’s such a shame as I had even had my pre wedding drinks there and was looked after tremendously on that particular occasion. Such a shame to have what was one of the best in Bury become one of the very worst.
What a pub! Couldn’t recommend more. Great space, atmosphere, beer, staff and food. The masons arms never disappoints. Nice cosy space inside with a great beer garden for all year round. Always visit when we are in town and always greeted with a smile.
A warm, welcoming pub in the heart of Bury St. Edmunds. The building itself dates back to the 16th century and is a pleasure to visit. Didn't try the food, but staff knew what was on offer and were happy to give some guidance. They were also friendly and attentive. Pub was clean with strong consideration for COVID standards. Thanks!
Proper pub with a good range of ales and lager. The menu has a great choice to suit most. Friendly no fuss staff in a clean well presented atmosphere.
Good pub, lots of nooks and crannies, very cosy. Beer garden is nice on a hot day, but nothing special. Very good selection of beers and ales on tap!
