Great atmosphere, absolutely love the restaurant, the staff is nice and working fast, just a bit disappointed in the desert I've had. I have visited twice, once for breakfast, which was absolutely perfect and the second time it was for main menu. The mains were good but the dessert was very disappointing. I've had the crepes with cherries and the crepe had the texture of rubber and it tasted like it as well. I am a bit disappointed that I had to pay for it as well even though I have told a member of the staff about it and it was left untouched except for that small corner I've tasted and I've instantly regretted it.
French Restaurant with great service and very tasty food right in the centre of Chelmsford. We went here for my daughter’s birthday in August. There were two of us and we hadn’t booked but managed to get a table for two in the window. It was a warm summer’s evening so plenty of full tables outside on the pavement and about ¾ full inside. Tasty olives to start with our drinks and then I had the Squash Taboule. It was great – really tasty and much better than I had expected. I’m a vegetarian but not usually a fan of squash as often badly cooked or over-ripe. This was perfect texture and taste and I was delighted to have chosen this dish. My daughter had the Breton Fish Stew and was equally impressed. Prices were reasonable for the quality of food £13-15 on average for the main courses with red meat/steaks/some fish being more although if you have these and add on fries and vegetables it will be quite a lot more costly. Service was very professional and slick and waiting staff friendly and attentive. A lovely evening. Clientele on the whole tended to be older although my daughter was 19 years old and wanted to go there for the food quality and was very happy with her choice.
We was a group of 10 and several of our party had allergies and they were excellently catered for. All the food looked delicious my steak was cooked to perfection and the service was really good too. We couldn’t fault them!! I will definitely visit again! Vegetarian options: My friend had a baked vegetable dish and she said it was delicious Dietary restrictions: There were members of my group that were vegan, vegetarian, had dairy, shell fish, gluten, and even pineapple allergies and intolerance ls but they were all catered for with delicious and tasty meals.
Definitely worth the 5 stars. We hadn't booked and were warmly welcomed for our table for 2. The staff were very polite and well spoken. This was our first visit to this restaurant and it didn't disappoint. We have been to other cote brasseries before which were also good and that's why we return. The food was amazing and well presented. . I 100% recommend this restaurant if you're looking for a nice evening with great food. Keep doing what you're doing cote brasserie. We will be back.
Called in for early evening fixed price menu. Generally food and service very good but waitress dropped some of the starter on the floor in her rush to serve. It wasn't much food but I thought she should has taken the dish back to the kitchen if only to rearrange it if not adding missing items. Main and dessert very good. Would return.
Delicious meal. We had the pork belly that was cooked to perfection. The staff were very friendly. No photos were taken. However, everything was beautifully presented. The atmosphere was a little reserved as all the customers were a bit older and quiet.Food: 5/5
Visited Cote chelmsford Sunday 20th July with my wife for our anniversary before starting the everning! WHAT WOUNDERFUL FOOD AND STAFF! We really had a great time, food was perfect and brought out in good time! STAFF are very friendly! happy to make recommendations, which were fantastic!!! I cannot wait to visit again!
An impressive French Brasserie in the heart of Chelmsford. We were welcomed warmly by an amazing gentleman Alex, he provided the top notch service from start to end. We ordered French toast and Salmon with eggs and was really impressed by the taste of our breakfast. The order was served promptly and Alex kept a check if anything is required. It was an amazing experience and much recommended to try out their menu!
As always fantastic food and service. The booking was a breeze. The food was served very promptly and amazing as always. It is our anniversary and as always we were treated to some bubbly. We love this place and as we can not wait for another year to come back we are planning a breakfast in the next few weeks. Thank you very much to all the staff for making us always feel so welcome.
