"Having admitted its first patients on 24th June 1991, Bury Hospice has since gone on to provide invaluable palliative and end-of-life EoL care to hundreds of local residents across Bury and the wider area. Our aims today are the same as they were then; to provide specialist twenty-four hour inpatient, medical and respite facilities, care for people with life-limiting illness, whilst doing everything we can to help support their families and carers. It costs over £3.4m to run the hospice each and as a charity we have to raise nearly £3m a year through our charity shops, fundraising events, donations and community support. Every donation makes a difference."

Bury Hospice Inpatient Unit is beyond wonderful. Their kindness, and devotion to my husband in his final days and hours was amazing. The staff are kind, caring and just lovely. We cannot praise them enough, and our gratitude knows no bounds.
The team at Bury Hospice cared for my wife in teh last 5 weeks of her life. But it was much more than that. I was able to stay by her bedside through the entire time. But it was much more They cared for me too! Every effort was made to keep My Lizzy pain free and comfortable. I have cried more tears at the hopsice than any place on earth. There was always sombody by my side. There care was beyond measure. I will be thankfull to them for the rest of my life. You will always have a place in my heart. Andy Farmer
My partner passed away on 1st February 2020 in the hospice very peacefully thanks to the devoted attention of the staff there. I have been grieving his death since then and nothing seems to help but I went to the hospice a few weeks ago very upset and spoke to Chris Green who invited me to attend a meeting with other bereaved people in the hope that it will help me. It seems that the hospice goes far above and beyond the care they show to their patients and is a wonderful place, so peaceful and tranquil. People are very privileged to be able to spend their last days in such a setting with such care and compassion shown not only to the dying but to their loved ones also. Thanks for everything. My mum chose this place. She loved the look of the gardens and rooms. Sadly mum passed here in January of this year. The staff go above and beyond. They were amazing with my mum and all of our family. So respectful and understanding. Thank you for looking after our mum.
Words do not do this place justice, it has to be visited to be believed. The staff are all outstanding and very keen to help In anyway possible. The facilities are amazing !!!!. Home cooked food in the cafe, quiet seating areas to reflect, tranquil Japanese gardens to stroll around, conference facilities available for hire and much more. It's just an amazing place.
I have had family members in here for palliative care. The place is amazing. Its clean and the rooms are very good. Patients are made to feel at home and are cared for magnificently. The staff are so supportive and diligent. They are all angels.
The cafe here is open to the public the food is excellent. The staff very friendly and helpful. Very good parking and a pleasant seating area in the garden very tranquil.
I have been leading a group here in the evenings over a number of weeks. The place is welcoming, comfortable, clean and the staff are wonderfully kind and accommodating.
