Burnley elective care, day surgery women's ward... May 3rd,level of care, patience, kindness shown to my wife has made this heavy heavy day so much easier to bare. All explained, talked through and given clear instructions if we needed further help just call.. I've never had anything but praise for the NHS, to witness first hand the amazing commitment to people is humbling. Thankyou....

I would like to thank the staff on Ward 15. My brother Philip Jones was a day patient on Monday 11/09/17. He had surgery on his feet and the whole process was made as easy as possible. The Consultant and Registrar explained the operation and gave him their full support. The nursing staff could not have been nicer. What a marvellous NHS we have. He stayed a night at no cost and was given a walking stick and special shoes to aid his mobility The whole hospital was spotlessly clean and the staff were on hand to give directions. However, I will still be supporting Liverpool when they play Burnley at the weekend!

I was advised by treatment centre burnley to go to urgent care as i have a month old would that is not healing. I went there after furher being advised by 111. I met with a nurse practitioner whowas offhand throughout and never even examined the injury. When I said it is only covered by plaster they then looked at it. Although, I had to take the plaster away. We noticed that there had been some discharge and the nurse practitioner said well ok maybe antibiotics are needed. The nurse practitioner questioned several times why I had not gone to my GP. I explained that I only thought it was just a cut. I felt that I was being interrogated by the police for some crime. I said that to them, they weren't in the least bit phased by my assertion. Finally the nurse practitioner offered some antibiotics (that as of yet I cannot get although having tried 4 different chemists). I must point out that the nurse practitioner did not examine me touch my wound or anything. I could have done this on the phone or by computer and maybe got some more interest.. Wonder why the media always say they are angels and underpaid. The nurse practitioner never even got up off their chair? I will have to wait until Monday to get these antibiotics. So a total waste of my time. By the way I said at the end I am sorry to have bothered you and they grunted as though to agree. I started taping my interrogation from the point when I realised the nurse practitioner couldn't care less about my non healing injury and I became uncomfortable with their interrogative manner.
