Paid for collection of bed and mattress on 23rd Feb 2024. Only collected vase of bed and left mattress in middle of the drive. Two phone calls to council who assured me it would be collected before 5pm. It has not been collected and didn't even give me courtesy call to say when it will be. Now I have had to move it to one side so I can get my car on drive. Extremely poor service and you will be receiving a call from me on Monday
I have never dealt with a person of such rudeness, they need to realise we are paying for their services and should be treated as people. Dealing with them, you could clearly tell they felt it was an inconvenience to them even having to talk to me, all I wanted to do was to set up a direct debt and the woman spoke In such a self entitled manner. Leaving the conversation I felt frustrated and left for confused then before I called, she couldn’t wait to get me Off the phone and interpreted me at least five times. Definitely a shock moving from another borough. Absolutely disgusting service.
Appalling service!! Rude and arrogant! When we first made a report the case worker Donna was absolutely lovely, she was on with sorting things out about ASB, she said she had plenty of evidence and sent out letters. Haven’t heard from Donna in a month and I’ve tried speaking to lots of different people since I haven’t heard from her and they have been nothing but aggressive and rude. All of a sudden they’ve changed their minds and decided the problem is no longer their responsibility and they aren’t going to do anything about it, knowing the repercussions and the health issues that has progressed since filing the report. Plain awful the lot of them. It’ll be their responsibility if things get worse and I have logged a complaint
Not even worth a star but have to give it one anyway. Do your jobs and people may feel different but when I've had glass all up the road when I live in a prime dogwalking place with a school and nursery at the end of the road and its been like that for at leat a month and we all pay our tax and our part when are you gonna do yours or what are we paying council tax for. And so much more
If I could give a minus number I would. The people who work at the council fail to realise that they serve the residents and business owners of the Borough. They are NOT doing us a favour when dealing with enquiries. The Burnley Council, together with Lancashire County Council make you want to relocate - to anywhere but Lancashire. This review has not been made after one interaction with the Council, but series of interactions over a number of years, Every customer touch point is difficult, from the very substandard website that has users going round in circles, to inadequate handling of phone calls. The UK economy is facing challenges, but being told that when I speak to a Council representative is not good enough. Private sector organisations are facing challenges, but they would never say that to a customer. People are taking time to write negative reviews; this is telling.
I can not speak highly of this council as I have lived in other authorities and had poor service so know what that is. All the staff I have spoken to have been great ambassadors for the town of Burnley and have been friendly and helpful . I truly believe that no one comes to work to deliver a poor service and that everyone is doing their best under bad circumstances. Always be kind
I've had terrible experience over a 4 month period with Burnley council, nothing but ineptitude from my first of ten phone calls & website reports to the last. I've phoned Streetscene & the cleaning service reporting 2 different Fly Tips in the Mill Hill area of Hapton, but received nothing but rubbish service, broken promises from the customer service operators and office management & senior manager. The first fly tip they collected the majority of the rubbish but left all the loose rubbish that had come out of a ripped bag. The second fly tip which I made the majority of the phone calls about for months they never touched so the tip got added too. When I phoned for the last time I stated that there was 3 fly tips within 5 yards of each other Large oil can, tyre, all 3 areas had black bags only one of the areas was roughly cleaned, only the bags were taken, none of the loose in that one, the other 2 areas was untouched. I got told by the senior manager that the team had spent 45 minutes in the area cleaning up the fly tips......RUBBISH!! For what they had done must only have taken minutes. No pride in their job, do the bare minimum from top to bottom! Haven't reported anymore since, my bad health can't take it!
Wait on phone about 35 minutes to talk to this rude and unhelpful advices, send me a letter to pay £28.77 from last years but i have not seen in writing in the letter, that was for last year was in big words you have missed another instalment so i was assume was later was 1 week after the beginning of the month and i have paid in the same day and now i have hm courts service letter to pay doubled because that the letter was from council tax last year and that was nothing missed last year instalments on the pass i have paid concil tax and not register on my account again this happen before i have call them and they apology after but is not normal behaver i ask to talk the manager they sorted but have to wait days for cvall me believe is this is also make on purpose they make this excuses to give me this mess and worry's not helpful at all and even lying said lots of letters was send with warnings that never arrived ask for the copy and he decline said concil dont send copy of reminders they also shout at me and treat me on switch me off the phone if i talk when he talks if ask one ensue he talks about for ages up other stories and dates from years before that was sorted long time ago. dont even had a clue what he talks about just wonted to know why no letter reminders and why a letter from last year if that was all paid as planed just spoke to this horrible adviser and said you managed get the court one did you? i could not believe this asuming i am lying that how is treat a single had to work full overtime to pay this hight bills i have never problems with received royal mail letters. they so helpfull they instead of sorting the problem they advice me to contact local MP and citizens advice borrow, 2 years ago tax letter was send to be paid extra 3 months after 2 years and i have paid they have excuse with corona virus been leaving with this for years i describe the worse company in the country asked lots of time to speak to the manager and been decline said manager does'not do complains and did not even wont me give her name that's why i pay them near £1400.00 a year to empty my rubbish and some time they dont even do that.
Rebate number ending 2776 Submitted on the 15th August you advised me ,10 working days for my money you've stolen without formal instruction via email or post to be returned due to ineptitude of the highest magnitude. It's now Wednesday 31st of August ,you've sent me an amended bill with my account credited ?? I'll try once more this morning,if this isn't resolved then I'm going to escalate this issue
Useless, they messed my council tax up when I reported a change. Ive always paid my council tax, never missed a payment in all the years I have been paying this which, is a lot! Brought this up with them, they weren't interested as long as i brought my payments upto date. The woman I dealt with would not accept they were to blame for this, which they were. Dont trust them at all
