Quite expensive for the dishes we ordered. What was described as vegetable curry was more curry soup. Could improve with adding more vegetables and a bit more rice to make more of a main meal than a light bite for the cost. Pub atmosphere nice and good location off motorway to stop off for a meal.
Through Open fire greets you. Lots of nooks and crannies, cosy and pretty lighting. Had small meal £10 roast pork. Loads of roast pots and broccoli, greens, carrots, gravy, 1 thick slice of pork. Friend had Fish and chips with side, was delicious. Spent leisurely 2hrs chatting peacefully. Coffees. No hassle. Will be back.
This is the first visit we have made in a few years and we won’t be rushing back. The two of us ordered the same meals the duck croquettes followed by the 5oz steaks but the croquettes didn’t taste of duck at all and there was confusion with our mains. Firstly a waitress came over with two deserts for us which we hadn’t ordered and shortly after 3 steaks were brought over. We explained that we had only ordered 1 each and was told “yeah, but it’s on your order”. My medium steak was rare and my wife’s rare one was virtually uncooked. There only appeared to be two serving staff which didn’t seem enough but they did their best under the circumstances. It’s a shame because we used to enjoy coming here but would be very unlikely to come back to eat.
Bob, Mandy and the team are so friendly, the food is amazing and the venue is lovely. In the Summer the garden is a great place to have a drink. Highly recommended.
Brilliant Xmas work lunch... food and atmosphere was brilliant. Big shout out to Bob the barman who did a brilliant job keeping up with our demands.... Bob's your uncle

Team lunch with staff friendly and helpful. Food was okay but traditional fish and chips seemed a bit over done with the mushy peas too dry. Okay but not as good other offerings in the area.
Nice pub with a good welcoming atmosphere. Outdoor space for smokers and summertime. I would recommend this for casual drinks or evening meals.
Had a lovely pre Christmas meet up with a group of friends, very accommodating staff and allowed us to pay in couples on our own tab! Food was nice
Went for a charity quiz, was very busy! Had a bit of a wait for the drinks but staff were friendly and we could see that they were working hard. Very well organised event
