I love this cinema so much! Free street parking available evenings and all day Sundays - car parks available just off the main road at other times. Reasonable prices for tickets. £4 pp weekends & £3.50 pp during the week. We’ve never needed to book online although that option is available we always turn up on the day & manage to get tickets. Located on the main Blackwood high street, close to various shops / cafes and pubs.
A sweet, old-fashioned cinema on Blackwood high street, the tickets are a lot cheaper than other cinemas nearby which is the pull, but you have to keep in mind that it’s going to be fairly basic in return. The seats are comfortable, the audio/visual is good and it very much gets the job done! Don’t expect massive luxury, it can smell a little damp in there, but for what you pay it’s fine! There’s no parking, but there are pay & display car parks dotted around Blackwood so you can use them. You only have to pay until 6pm so keep that in mind when you get your ticket.
I love this little cinema! They truly show up the other cinemas who charge £10+ per ticket as being greedy and unnecessary! This cinema charges £3.50 per ticket which makes going to the cinema accessible for lots of people who otherwise couldn't afford to go.nnAnd it's not to say that you get a worse experience! They have lovely popcorn and very kind and friendly staff. There are many screens and even an upstairs.nnThe only thing I noticed when I went yesterday to see The Sound Of Freedom very much recommended is that in screen 1 there was a strange noise throughout the whole film coming from the back it sounded a little like machinery. You didn't notice it most of the time, only when there were very quiet scenes.nnSupport your local cinema - support cinemas who don't fleece you for all your money! I'll only ever go here with my family
Incredibly good value cinema tickets; £3.50! The seats were comfortable, you can take drinks from the bar into the cinema to drink while you watch. Food about the same cost as other places - but easier to justify because of the cheaper tickets. It's a 12 mile drive for me , so I need to calculate the cost of petrol on top of the tickets
Fantastic local cinema. Always a good range of films at excellent prices. It's well run, stocked with treats and has a bar in the evening for the adults too.
