Beautiful campsite! Lots of bunnies running around and owls in the evening! Very clean and tidy Perfect for a quiet break and dog walks! Will definitely be returning!!! Oh and also, I did NOT hear the kennels for those complaining :
States “disabled facilities” not true. To cap it all if you are sat on the stool the PIR can’t see you and turns the lights off, pitch black, absolutely terrifying, pitch black, took me over 20 minutes to find my phone and call for help, not impressed. Moved onto their sister site !! Please read that review.
Had a few nights there lovely quiet site , nice pub with superb food and good beer 50 yds out the back gate
A Site to remember. A bit like 'they did everything they said on the tin'! well done done - a great community spirit a great place to spend a few days - as Arnie said " we'll be back " This is my edit : I was vague…this site offers pitch electric; fresh water -and grey waste :a truly great idea and I didn’t give them the credit they deserved. The toilet/shower building could not have been better. On reflection my favourite site so far -sorry to the owners that I was vague you deserved a better review -we’ll done
I love Brookside Country Park, Where do I Start Pitches are level, plenty of room if you have an awning. It’s peaceful and a great way to recharge your batteries. We are here on our 4th visit and are planning our next visit.
Lovely friendly staff spotless toilets and pitches well looked after had a great stay will be back soon
After visiting Blue Rose Country Park in Brandesburton sister site which is excellent and where we've stayed on 2 occasions, we expected exactly the same at this site. However, although it is a very pleasant tidy site we had to endure periods of incessant dog barking over the fence which made it seem anything but tranquil. The shower and toilet blocks were not regularly checked and cleaned cobwebs from shower door, quite thick dust collection on skirting. Chemical disposal point is not closed and had with no lid on it which isn't very nice. I'll probably not return to this one as I found Blue Rose is far more relaxing, peaceful and quiet and more options for getting out and about too..
Lovely site, nice pitches and very clean and tidy site with good facilities.
We absolutely loved this site. So peaceful and tranquil however we have deducted one star for the toilet/shower facilities. Water in showers scalding and don't feel the blocks are cleaned nearly enough especially now. The bin in the men's block wasn't emptied for a week. The hairdryers are awful but worse than that is the terrible hand dryers. It's such a shame because other than that the place is faultless and we absolutely loved our 2 weeks there and would go back.
Quiet and tidy place. All pitches clean and have individual power, water and grey waste drain. The toilet/shower block is well maintained, as is the pot wash room although with only 2 sinks this could get busy in peak times. It would have been better to have the recycling and waste bins next to the pot wash and toilet area rather than trekking back to the opposite side of the site though. No shop or ice creams freezer with honesty box, like some have, which would have been nice. There are some books and DVDs to borrow too, which was handy as there are no TV aerial hook-ups on the pitches, and we had insufficient mobile signal on EE, O2 and Vodafone to stream any TV the free WiFi only gave 0.5 Mbps too. Quiet places to walk nearby, up through the woods or into the small village, overlooking the Trent and then the Humber if you go further round north. Normanby Hall only 10 minutes drive away.
