Waters' Edge Visitor Centre

About

One of the 'greenest' attractions in the UK, with an abundance of wildlife, events all year round and plenty for the whole family to do!

Story

Waters' Edge Visitor Centre is set in 86 acres of country park against the stunning backdrop of the Humber Bridge. The Centre boasts a free Kids Corner, with giant games and a reading corner, as well as interactive displays for the whole family to enjoy. While you're here, feed our friendly ducks with seed on sale from the Visitor Centre, escape from the hustle and bustle on one of our relaxing walks, and visit our two children's outdoor play areas. When you have worn yourself out, why not treat yourself to a tasty homemade meal or snack and hot drink from the Honey Pot Cafe!

The Park and Centre is free admission and there is ample free car parking as you enter the country park on the left hand side.

Best location in this region of the Humber, so far!nnRunning a Photography Group for veterans means good planning and choosing locations that are accessible for those with limited mobility and facilities for breaks. This location has all that and much more! Definitely will be on our list for a visit in the summer.
A fantastic all the family experience. Wonderful walks through the reserve and plenty of places to watch the wildlife.nSeveral small playgrounds for kids, plenty of outdoor seating.nFantastic views of the Humber Bridge.nAlways a warm welcome from the friendly staff.nLoads of information , pictures, interactive screens to get the story of the reserve.nA lovely gift shop and a popular restaurant cafe that serves superb food..nLoads of parking and easy access to the reserve and the Banks of the Humber.
It was a really nice stop on the way to the holiday destination, so many little things on the shelves, a brief history well and interestingly presented, toilets are there so a little cafeteria, the staff were nice too.
A rainy day so not many people but I'm told packed on most sunny days. What's here? Best view of Humber bridge and a great view of the river..just a minute's walk out of the door next to the cafe here. Nice coffee place..worth a trip : A local resident talked to us about the wildlife areas and footpaths in the area..one footpaths goes along the river banks.nSupport the small cafes and help out with their struggle with large chains..visit this cafe
Great place to spend 2/3 hours walking with your binoculars.nWell laid out, no charges on parking or entry to the park. nThey did have however, a strange treasure trail, marked out with items to find, which I found a bit bizarre and slightly off putting, which was I suppose meant as a litter pick for stuff, you wouldnt want to mention/ discuss with your grandma.....shall I say.nOverall we had a really good day.n
