Great welcome from reception staff. Sherrie and Brianna were chatty and smiling and made us feel very welcome. Room was amazing. Very clean and fresh smelling. New style with slightly extra space and a HUGE walk in shower in the bathroom. Very effective heating system and lovely and quiet. Ask for a room located at the rear of the hotel for a quiet room. Breakfast at the Brewers Fayre was delicious, plentiful and varied and the serving staff very cheery.
Stayed Thursday night for my birthday was very happy with the welcoming staff the afternoon we arrived and the morning after our stay. Without even asking they offered my 3 year old daughter some colouring and pencils and made my daughter feel welcomed in seconds. The room was lovely, spacious considering we had a family room, warm, so warm and cosy, The breakfast the next morning was absolutely delicious and again restaurant staff seemed rushed off their feet, but they were friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back again Rooms: 10 out of 10! Nearby activities: We went to Thursford that evening and although it was 56 minutes away, was easy enough to get to from the hotel. The hotel is easy enough to find, just Norwich roundabout lay out is just hard work when your not from there but we got there in the end, only missed our turning twice
I've stayed in many Premier Inn's across the country and this one could seriously do with a face lift. Looks very tired, though staff are friendly enough. What lets it down is the dreadful adjoining pub/restaurant that Premier Inn encourages you to eat in. On arrival to the hotel I was told I should make a booking if I wanted to guarantee being served so I did so and went down on time. Had to wait a good 10 minutes before I was even acknowledged by a rude woman who offered no pleasantries whatsoever. I was then shown to a grubby little table squeezed between 2 families and told "here's your table, it's bar service only" before she just walked off. I had to go to the bar to ask if I could sit somewhere a little quieter before making my order. Food took at least 30 minutes to arrive. I don't mind waiting as it was Saturday evening although it really wasn't that busy at all. What I do mind is the quality of the food. Chips that had clearly been left out for hours and warmed up and a 'medium' done rump steak that was so cold and red it looked like it was about to jump off the plate. I tried to get the attention of a member of staff to see if I could have it cooked a little bit more but there were no table staff to be seen and the 2 guys behind the bar were now busy serving drinks to a growing number of local 'drop-ins'. I didn't finish my meal, went back to my room, and cancelled my plans to have breakfast there the next morning. Really disappointing, especially since it is part of Premier Inn's business model to convert guests into spending and eating in the restaurant. My advice is don't bother at this location - I hear the pub over the road is much better. Needless to say I won't be back.
We have been to a lot of premier Inns. For the price you pay can't fault them. However this one was one of the best. Staff were absolutely superb, super friendly and couldn't do enough for you Very highly recommended.
Good room and usual standards Friendly staff and food next door Difficult to find as sat nav directions faded into not recognised roads Rooms: 5/5
The rooms and service are amazing. Couldn’t have been treated better. Rooms were clean and the showers were good. There was a fire alarm in the morning that we had evacuate for but it was no fault of there’s but the restaurant next door. Would totally recommend and would stay again.
The staff here are excellent. Very friendly and helpful, especially Alex who managed to sort out my request regarding rooms. Thank you!!
Lovely rooms, and the two ladies at front desk Alex and Brianna were very nice and helpful, with lovely smiles. BTW great price, recommended.Rooms: 5/5
Don't bother trying to get served next door. Beefeater is attached to the hotel but we waited nearly 20 minutes at the bar to get served. Wasted an evening. Only 1 hand and face towel again .window was open in the toom on a cold day and the heating thermostats set to 33 didn't make sense. No film chanel as advertised and no instructions how to use the TV. We stay in quite a few of this chain and this is the worst
Good location about 15 minutes outside of central Norwich, so it's a bit cheaper. I like Premier Inn, rooms are always clean, functional and well priced. Rooms: Clean and functional. Food & drinks: The pub next door, Brewers Fayre, does really nice food.
