The lounge was okay, was able to get some good food and drinks, and was able to relax for a bit before our flight. However, on the day we came, it was really busy and later on as we left for our plane a queue had formed outside the lounge, and there was also queue for the toilets cause instead of there being a men's and women's bathroom, there were like 6 or 12 bathrooms for everyone and some of them were out of use and not working. But apart from that, it was an okay time there and for once had no problems with our flights.
Exactly what you would expect from a BA business class lounge. The south lounge is generally more quiet than north but there are boards after priority security that show how busy they are. Long and spacious, plenty of seats although always not so many with higher tables, more relaxed seatings. When we there breakfast buffet was out - sausage egg hash browns etc. All good quality. Very relaxing!
The best lounge option in Terminal 5 when flying BA business class, especially when compared to the options you get with Priority Pass small, crowded lounges with subpar food options. This lounge is less crowded, has decent good and drink options, is comfortable, and is better than the lounge after security check. I had both breakfast and lunch here so far and they had a diverse selection of dishes throughout the day. They even had a candy cart at one point!
The British Airways Galleries South Lounge at London Heathrow Terminal 5 is a sophisticated and spacious lounge that offers travellers a comfortable and upscale environment to relax before their flights. The lounge reflects British Airways' commitment to quality, with its elegant design, extensive amenities, and attentive service. Upon entering, you're greeted by a stylish and contemporary space, featuring a mix of seating options to suit different needs. Whether you prefer a quiet corner to unwind, a workstation to catch up on some work, or a communal area to socialise, the lounge has it all. The decor is chic, with a blend of modern furnishings and touches of British heritage, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The food and beverage offerings are a highlight of the Galleries South Lounge. The buffet features a range of options, from hot dishes to lighter snacks, catering to various tastes and dietary requirements. The quality of the food is generally excellent, with freshly prepared dishes that change throughout the day. The bar is well-stocked with a wide selection of wines, spirits, and champagnes, adding a touch of luxury to your pre-flight experience. The self-serve coffee and tea stations are
Even though the lounge was quite large, it got very busy in the afternoon. The seats were quite cramped and it would get quite noisy even in the so-called quiet zone. The tables were always full of used plates - I could tell they were seriously understaffed as the same cleaning lady had been trying her best walking non-stop for hours. The food was always empty - salad was always gone, with limited varieties. The selection of alcohol was good though - basically all you can drink bubbles and red with fair quality.
While it is well serviced, and the food is nice, and it has many sears, it is remakably packed. Feels like being at rush hour/9am at Paddington Station. So it’s hard to enjoy a quiet/privacy time if that is what you are after. How can it be so packed?Food: 5/5
This is nice business class lounge at Heathrow Terminal 5. The alcohol is the main perks; stemming from champagne, wine, beer and a fantastic selection of spirits. Food is also nice and seating is spaced out. Only drawback is some of the rude customer service from fatigued staff - nice for club world or EuropeFood: 5/5
Located at the third level, 2 escalator up to the business lounge, a level up from the Concorde first class lounge. Quite a challenge for looking a resting spot, a very busy and packed lounge. However, the food and snacks provided were absolutely delightful. The shower service located on the second floor, right next to the Concorde first class lounge. The shower reception and the cleaning service was very friendly and kind. Condition of shower room were cleaned and neat.
This lounge was brilliant compared to plaza premium lounge at t5. the food, atmosphere and quality of drinks really made for an enjoyable experience. Staff were helpful and having a customer service desk was reassuring. Staff were helpful and friendly and made for a relaxed end of our journey. I would recommend the chicken strips and the honey and mustard sauce. Wheelchair accessibility: Lift to and from and plenty of room to go to a table and get round.
Amazing atmosphere, peaceful and relaxing. The food is not that grate. Great choice of drinks.Food: 3/5
