Stepping into the British Airways lounge at Newark Liberty Airport, I was greeted by a spacious and inviting environment, promising a serene reprieve from the bustling terminal. The initial impression was positive, with ample seating and a tranquil ambiance perfect for unwinding before a flight. However, the breakfast offerings fell short of expectations. The limited selection of bread, sausages, fried rice, and fried dumplings left much to be desired. The absence of fresh, replenished scrambled eggs was noticeable and disappointing. As for beverages during breakfast time, the choice was equally sparse, confined to coffee, tea, and water. The final straw came when I sought to take a bottle of water for the journey ahead, only to find none left. Even the water dispenser was empty, leaving me with an unquenched thirst and a lingering sense of dissatisfaction. In sum, while the lounge provided a comfortable and spacious setting, the lackluster breakfast and limited beverage options were a letdown, marring what could have been a more pleasant pre-flight experience.
Here now and enjoying champagne and the view. Breakfast offerings are simple and truly not hot. The breakfast had oatmeal but too soupy looking so I skipped it and the toasters take a long time. The shining light was Lynette who was pleasant and helpful. She offered to make a coffee if needed and helped me bring things to my table which was helpful. I enjoyed the fruit and yogurt. Pastries were ok. Not JFK or LHR however it is decent. Hoping for a great flight to London. Two coffee machines located separately and sadly not very hot coffee either and I don’t need it very hot lol. Good experience however sadly not great
Probably the best lounge we’ve been to during our trip, better than United Club & Maple Leaf. Had a more extensive food and beverage selection. Comes with a separate first class dining area. Washroom was too small though, couldn’t accommodate the number of guests given how big the lounge was. Otherwise a great lounge to be in
Arrived at the lounge at 2:15 and the placard s are I’d it would open at 2:30- it did not open until 2:45. My husband was desperate to take a shower after an already long travel day before a transatlantic flight. He was told” oh those haven’t worked in a month. The rooms were excessively hot and after 30 minutes the air conditioning finally came on. I asked for an old fashioned and got bourbon and seltzer with a cherry. Not impressed
Not sure why all of the negatives reviews about this lounge. Maybe because it used to be part of the Priority Pass and they skimped a bit but they no longer accept Priority Pass and my experience of the lounge on July 12, 2023 was great. I was flying Business class on Aer Lingus and other Business class airlines have access as well. Perhaps because we arrived just as the lounge was re-opening at 3 PM that everything was clean and and all the food offerings were fully stocked had something to do with my opinion but this was as nice as many other Business class lounges I've been to both domestically and internationally. While it's not on par with United's Polaris Lounge at EWR, it's also far less crowded and the staff, especially the bar staff, would regularly come around and refrill your drinks without having to go back up to the bar which was a very nice touch. There was a nice variety of both hot and cold food and well as snacks along with a coffee bar. I wouldn't hesitate to visit this lounge again in fact I'm looking forward to it
It was freezing cold when I visited in the morning of November 2023 before my Singapore Airlines flight. A decent selection fi food can be found, but the shower room was not in use. Loved the ambience and the lounge design.
Am on SQ 21 back to Singapore. Well, the lounge serves very limited choices of food. It's not even comparable to breakfast in a 4 star hotel. The only plus point here is , u can have free flow liquors.
This is a decent size lounge with comfy seats . The downside side of this is service even though staff is friendly, yet the product is way below what is considered a business class. The food is very minimal and cold for breakfast, only cold eggs and fruits!really! For the price you pay for the ticket? It is a joke. BA needs to step up
Great lounge option to have at Newark, finally something for priority pass users. The lounge is located in the middle section of terminal B. That said, if you have a flight from another section you can access the lounge, but you will have to reclear security at your section. The lounge is huge and spacious, so many seating options and areas and was very quiet in the morning priority pass hours. The food spread is very small during these hours so maybe don’t come hungry but otherwise very solid option.
I was invited to the lounge since I was traveling in business class, but the service and food choices were extremely disappointing. Everything was so basic and unappealing. The congee was just half-cooked rice, and no one paid attention when I asked them to refill the empty buffet. The strawberries still had their leaves on and weren't even cut. The bacon was dripping with fat, and the fried rice and dumplings were burnt.
