This ‘First lounge’ is fine, one of the better BA lounges. Offering table and buffet food service, although the menu offering are largely the same. Generally there are spare seats and it’s clean and tidy. It’s nowhere as fun as the Virgin Lounge in Terminal 3.
Spacious, quiet and relaxing Friendly and professional staff Enjoyed my time . My lounge ratings: Comfort: /5 Cleanliness: /5 Service: /5 Luxury: /5 WiFi: - [didn’t use] Food selection: /5 probably because of the pandemic Atmosphere: /5 Quiet: /5 Overall: /5
My husband is gold member. When we were last time flying as a whole family 13th December a receptionist lady at this lounge quite rudely said the can’t allow our kids in. I find it utterly ridiculous we were not able to enter with 3 kids. She said” if you had a one kid maybe but you have “ looking at my kids..”2,3”. I found it very impolite and unprofessional. Very disappointed with BA policy that is discriminating families. What is the point than having gold membership. I think I am going to do my research and look at other big airlines’ benefits.
Dated with no real atmosphere, starting to show its age a little. Poor wifi speed and due to the lack of people the food isn't as fresh as is could be. BA should really take a leaf out of Cathay business lounge in HK for a lounge that has thats a pleasure to be in.
Awful lounge. Tables were overloaded with debris and dirty glasses/crockery. Food selection was poor. The lounge is very dated and not particularly clean. A lack of power points around seating area is a nuisance. We did witness one member of staff pushing an empty trolley around. We assumed she was going to clear tables but, nope, she continued to walk back and forward but doing very little. Compared with the very modern, clean facilities at JFK, I found Heathrow very disappointing.
Worn out and not that clean. Food offering was not bad, but far from what I’d expect in first class. I’ve been to many domestic businesses class lounges that make this one look second grade. The lady at the reception was super friendly, but the staff inside are almost non-existent. Tables are left dirty from previous travelers. With little to no cleaning done whilst I’ve been here for the last two or so hours. Customers are helping themselves at the bar because there are no bartenders… unbelievable.
Always a pleasure to relax before a flight nice to enjoy breakfast thank you all. Wishing all happy Chinese New Year
We had a fabulous time in here whilst waiting for our flight. Food was gorgeous, with a huge/delicious selection to pick from. Wasn’t overcrowded, and plenty of seating/areas to choose to relax in. A little slow at clearing/cleaning tables, and overall a little dated, which would have otherwise scored 5 stars. None the less, was enjoyable.
Spacious lounge with lots of seating but a little dated. Power plugs not available at a lot of the tables. Buffet is not back yet, but you can order food through the website, convenient. Warning : small portions! Food quality is not what you expect from a first class lounge. I had scrumbled eggs, with mushrooms, tomatoes, and blood sausage - it all taste fine and food came out very fast though the lounge was basically empty
I do get the 2 and 3 stars - Cathay’s lounge is a few steps away so people have direct comparison. Cathay definitely leads in decor, food quality/selection, and shower facilities, but the BA lounge has more friendly and professional staff based on my own experience.
