Bramhall Health Centre has always been good but since Covid it’s even better. The waiting room is no longer full of people who don’t really need to be there, the triage system operated by the receptionists works very well and if you need to see a health professional there is never long to wait for an appointment. Finally, I have nothing but praise for the senior nurse who is very knowledgeable and has a lovely friendly manner.
Today I had an appointment with a senior nurse, at the Health Centre, to investigate some serious problems that I have been experiencing following the removal of my gall bladder, last year. She was patient, through and listened attentively to the description of my symptoms. Some further tests need to be carried out and sent of for examination. I am grateful for the time spent by an understanding, patient and experienced nurse.
They do not have the time or motivation to provide adequate care. Bramhall health centre is a glorified free clinic. There is a 90% chance that they will not care about you, as they don't have the resources, regardless of how serious your issue may be. DO NOT REGISTER YOUR GP HERE, FIND ANOTHER PRACTICE.
I booked an appointment after several weeks of wait, they booked me an appointment with I think, a locum GP. I am also working in the NHS as a doctor. I missed the call when I was driving from my hospital after a night shift and I got the appointment cancellation message within 2 mins . They did not bother to call me second time . I called them immediately as soon as I got back home and receptionist said they don't have appointment for next 4 weeks. I am a doctor working in the hospital and ideally they should have called second time atleast 10 -20 mins later. But the GP did not bother to call me back .I believe lot of patients would have been affected by this approach. This is not acceptable at all and management has to look into it .
I contacted the practice at 8.00 am. A very helpful telephone operator advised me to come in. The receptionist was extremely helpful and pleasant. A Gp contacted me by phone later in the day as promised. She was also very helpful and I received the medication I needed an hour later. Thank you all. Great service today.
Sadly no star is not an option. I’ve been trying to book an appointment for 2 days! Constantly in a queue for an hour and more. Same again today when I managed to go from caller4 to caller 5 before being cut off again!! Hopeless and pointless. I suppose covid will be the excuse like always at the place. Rather than them just failing. Update: finally got thru to be offered an appointment two and a half weeks away! Just not acceptable.
My family and I have received exceptional care from bramhall health centre for the last ten years and more. It's hard to understand why people are giving the surgery such a low rating. We have always managed to get an appointment eventually, it is often busy, but the reception team have always been very helpful and professional. We have always had excellent care from the doctors, nurses and clinics - even in these incredibly difficult times. The introduction of telephone appointments has also been really helpful.
Unfortunately I’m very disappointed with Bramhall health Centre you can never get a appointment receptionist tell you so many different things about the same question none off them sing of same him sheet they want book in far dated appointment and even if it’s important there is nothing waited over a week for my daughters test results to be looked at! Another time It took my over a hour to get through to be told I would get a phone call sometime in the afternoon I confirmed I’d be on the school run and what time do they ring me me 315! So missed the call then took me another hour to ring back to be told tuff! Reception don’t care this week has nearly sent me over the edge mentally they doing more harm than good
I have had several contacts with Bramhall Health centre over the past few weeks, the most recent being today, with Dr.Leach, who went out of his way to help with an urgent query concerning my wife. He spent some time dealing with this, by telephone, email, and in person, in a friendly and professional way. I found the service to be excellent, and I can say the same about others we have dealt with recently, reception staff, doctors, nurses, and nursepractioner. Well done everyone!
The very worst service you could ask for, there is ZERO process here which facilitates a efficient encounter. I have been waiting 2/3 weeks for test results which i was informed they would call me with, it was down to me to call and chase. results line does not open usual times, so it is then another job you have to tackle when calling up. Forget making an appointment, there are no times available.
