Story

Since 1982 Bombay Brasserie has paved the way for Indian and Bombay cuisine in London. Located in eternally fashionable Kensington, the Bombay Brasserie attracts the glitterati, politico’s, captains of industry and those seeking a dining experience, which will take them to Bombay, if only for a few hours.

Bombay (now known as Mumbai) brought Indians from all over the country together, making the cuisine unique to the city. The menu at Bombay Brasserie reflects the cultural diversity of Bombay, with influences from Parsi, Goan, Bengali, Gujerati, as well as the Portuguese and Raj. The dishes on the menu today have been served on the tables of past Mughal Emperors and the spice traders of Goa.

Like the city itself, Bombay Brasserie has grown. 30 years since it first opened its doors, the mission is the same - to bring authentic Bombay Cuisine not only to London and Londoners, but its guest from all corners of the globe.

"Just minutes away from the hotel, the newly renovated 30-year-old Bombay Brasserie transports you to multicultural Bombay, for a few magical hours. The menu at this legendary Indian restaurant reflects the city’s cultural and culinary diversity and evolution, with influences from Parsi, Goan, Bengali, Gujarati, as well as the Portuguese and Raj."

My most recent experience was the lunch Mogo chips cassava chips are meant to be softer Pani puri no chick peas fortunately I don’t like chick peas in my puri, I like moong sprouts instead thus these are perfect. The water was sooo delicious! Tasted very authentic Masala fries delicious fries sprinkled with a bit of Chaat masala, sanchar black salt, chill powder etc Sev puri not sure why this was so good but it just was Bhel puri great, but nothing compared to the sev puri Salty and mango lassi salty lassi tastes like chaas buttermilk. Alternatively, mango lassi is ideal if you’re looking for something sweet A pasta plate not sure why they even served it or had it on the menu Dahi rice with tadka not my personal favourite Mains Aubergine matar best main ever Palak paneer another great dish. Very soft paneer Kadhi Dal makhani they removed dal makhani from the buffet menu, but we ordered it from Al carte. I used to love it, but felt it lacked a bit of salt Desserts Gulab jamun hard to go wrong with it. It’s slightly less sweet compared to some of the other ones I’ve had still super sweet though but I love that! Chocolate mousse with carrot tarte everyone loved the mousse! The carrot tart doesn’t necessarily pair well with the chocolate mousse but I liked it anyway wouldn’t re-order the tart though Malai kulfi beautiful presentation and delicious! Many times better than the mango kulfi which no one seemed to enjoy as much Birthday sponge cake mixed it with a bit of malai kulfi from earlier and loved it Ras malai if you like ras gulla you will love this Nice ambience. Good service. Love it!
Fantastic Indian cuisine. All from our starters...Palace chat, achari paneer to mini dosas to biryanis, dals, methi/malabar parathas to dals a side dishes...the food was lip smacking. The spice levels were mellowed down ...probably to suit local pallette. Service is fast, friendly and attentive. One of us celebrating our birthday received a cake as well. The meal concluded with gulab jamuns and raspberry chocolate mousse. A fantastic experience overall. Looking forward to our next visit.
Great food. Experienced the best Indian food in London. Amazing service. Each and every dish are distinctive and flavourful. We also enjoyed the ambience, the environment and beautiful designs. Will definitely come back to experience more.
I was very much looking forward to our dinner, it was awful, rice was straight out the microwave all dried up .The rice bowl was so hot just out the microwave that I couldn’t touch it, the prawn curry was so bland. I tried half of one prawn it felt like I’m chewing plastic. The coast guard watermelon and coconut drink was just artificial syrups used to make a full packed sugar drink. My partners Cauliflower fenugreek was just hard not even half cooked cauliflower I think it was just cut into pieces and warmed up not cooked . We left our food after having one bite of each dish paid and left to go and eat elsewhere.
Lives upto the Taj service. Great food average cocktails decent service. Good place for an occasion/ Indian fine dine experience with dhaba style food.
I go here once a year as a treat for my anniversary! The food is absolutely mouth-watering, flavoursome, and authentic Indian food. The services are absolutely and vibe of the restaurant is buzzing when busy. Highly recommended it for vegetarians
We booked a Sunday buffet lunch for our family about 40 of us as a celebratory coming of age for our kids. The buffet lunch itself was in the beautifully designed conservatory which has a real days of the raj feel. It was such a memorable day for us, the table prep was exquisite, the food itself was faultless, you can sometimes worry that buffet food can be left to stew for hours but this had an unbelievable freshness, each station was spotless and Benny's team went above and beyond to look after us. We were all blown away by the precise qualities in each item, flavour, textures and presentation. Thank you Benny, pictures and memories we’ll cherish forever.
Good food and service. The lamb was excellent. Solid prices. Would recommend.
Not one of the staff could manage a smile or even simple conversation... Surely they should say how was your meal or experience? This way I would said something to a person, rather than typing all this out. For ambience, a perfect choice, however the rest needs a lot more work and attention to detail.
Excellent food Excellent service Excellent staff Thank you team for a fabulous experience with our family.
