One of the best Indian cuisine restaurants I’ve ever been to! This place has been a must-visit for me each time I visit London, either with my family or friends. Just a reminder, this is the comments of a person who worked in a similar restaurant in Stirling, Scotland while doing his masters degree.Food: 5/5
The restaurant is beautiful and we had Maruf as our waiter. He was delightful!! At his recommendation we had the tasting menu. Start to finish everything was incredible!! Finished off with a pear dessert Everyone there is so friendly and they spoil you!! Thank you for a perfect evening.Food: 5/5
Our first dinner experience at the Light of India was nothing short of exceptional. As a group, we had the opportunity to sample a diverse array of dishes from menus A, B, and C. Each selection showcased the restaurant’s dedication to authentic flavors and high-quality ingredients. The dishes were absolutely tasty and delicious, bursting with rich spices and vibrant flavors that transported us straight to the heart of India. Moreover, the Light of India goes above and beyond to accommodate dietary restrictions, offering a variety of gluten-free options and ensuring nut allergies are carefully catered to. This attention to detail and commitment to inclusivity truly set them apart. From the warm, welcoming ambiance to the attentive service, our dining experience was memorable and enjoyable. We can’t wait to return and explore more of their delectable offerings.
Recently spent a week in London and had dinner here twice since it was sool delicious. Food was wonderful, and i have eaten a lot of Indian cuisine! Staff, Maruf was accommodating, kind and attentive. Restaurant is small but bright and cheerful. Reservations recommended! Vegetarian options: There were many veg options
Amazing service and food flavors. We were in from Philadelphia just for the night and found this amazing place and we’re celebrating our recent engagement. Ruhel, our main waiter was super attentive and gave excellent recommendations. We would come back next time we come to London.Food: 5/5
The best Indian restaurant I’ve ever had. Went back 3 times. Exemplary service, beautiful presentation and great atmosphere. Thanks to Ruhel for taking care of us Vegetarian options: Fabulous
Fantastic meal! We had great service from Hamed and Ruhel, who were efficient and friendly. We loved our drinks and the food was delicious, so we were very satisfied at the end of our meal and felt the prices were very reasonable for London.Food: 5/5
The food was nice ! I orders chicken Tandoori! The service was awesome! Fahim was super attentive and helpful! Ambient is pleaaant! Recommend!Food: 4/5
We stopped here on our way to the Natural History Museum and we did not regret it. The food was amazing and so was the beer and so was Ruhel our waiter. He recommended certain dishes because of my allergies to almonds that I would have never ordered and it was amazing. I highly recommend Light of India to anyone.
What a great little find while being in London. The food was so fresh and full of flavour. We had the pre theater 2 course meal with starter and main course. Was no room for desert after being full from these dishes. We also had cocktails and these tasted beautiful aswell. The waiter Maruf is an asset to your team as he was very professional and polite. The chocolates at the end of the meal was a nice treat. Can't wait to return to try some other dishes.
