"Bolton Abbey Caravan and Motorhome Club Campsite is part of the Bolton Abbey estate located in North Yorkshire in an open glade surrounded by woodland and the glorious Yorkshire Dales. The site attracts lots of wildlife and has access to 75 miles of footpaths through moors, woods and farmlands with some lovely dog walks. The ruins of the 12th century Bolton Priory stand on a placid curve of the River Wharf. Skipton is 8.5 miles away and is an historic town with traditional cobbled streets, a picturesque canal, a regular street market and a medieval fortress. It also serves as the starting point of the Settle to Carlisle train line. Grassington offers stunning views, gorgeous stone buildings, shops and pubs."

We arrived at Bolton Abbey Estate Caravan Park with a very warm welcome from the wardens. We were given a lovely pitch which was very large with a walk way down to the site facilities. The site was very well kept with beautiful surroundings. Walking routes are accessible from the entrance of the site which provide hours of beautiful walking. A great little information hut near the entrance full of useful information. One of the nicest sites we have been to and would love to return in the future. 5*
Nice to visit, three carparks - cost for a car booked on the day is £12.50, and £10 if booked in advance. Open from 9-5pm. You can also visit the Strid River and Strid woods. A walk can easily take 6-8 hours with a couple of breaks at the onsite coffee shops.
A very peaceful site set amidst woodland glades, with friendly staff and excellently kept facilities and grounds. Easy access to woodland and Riverside walks on the Bolton Abbey Estate.
Lovely clean facilities and in a beautiful part of Yorkshire. With walks from site into woodland and riverside. Parking in the area is extremely expensive.
Very helpful wardens for our delayed last minute arrival. They did everything in their power to help us however with no late arrivals space we chose to go for next day 1pm arrival. Great help and above and beyond service is a valuable asset to the club and it’s members. The site though is a great place to explore from and a short walk from the site leads you down to the strid and beyond. We will be back again in the New Year where we will have more day light hours to walk and explore from the caravan pitch. Keep up the good work and club reputation guys n girls.
A quiet, restful site, located in wonderful scenery . Walks to Bolton priory via Strid Forest. Staff excellent, going beyond their nominal duties in their concern for guests...most impressive. Small shop with basics. Facilities excellent Recommend unreservedly.
A beautiful and peaceful Site set in Strid Wood. Lovely scenic and serene walks along the river bank and peaceful woodland with an abundance of wildlife to enjoy.
Lovely site with access to stunning walks. Excellent facilities and staff with a cafe next door. There is a site shop but out in the sticks so stock up.
Most beautiful place we've ever been in campervan. Fantastic scenic walks on the doorstep. Wild rivers and woodland walks. We only stayed overnight but will book a week next time. Walkers paradise with beautiful picnic places to rest by the river. Dogs loved it
Beautiful location. No mobile, WiFi working when I stayed. But still one of my favourite sites. Staff lovely. Place spotless. Cafe just outside of site. Definitely recommend but take a book....just in case!
