Park was excellent, amazing pitch facing right on the river, staff were really friendly and welcoming. Shower facilities a little dated but clean and worked fine. Nice walk into Richmond town centre. Our first time there but won't be our last, we will definitely be visiting again
Nice family run site, large, many pitches. Richmond very nice town with cinema, good pie shop and lovely old centre, enjoyed our stay. Walking in area very nice, waterfalls of Aysgarth beautiful. Not 5 stars because of hygiëne in shower and toilets.
Good location 1.5 miles outside Richmond on the River Swale. Enjoyable riverside walk into Richmond arriving at old Station which is a nice coffee stop. Site had level pitches with gravel base. Staff were pleasant. My only criticisms were that the site lacked some TLC and modernisation. Drains at water points were blocked and swimming with water, toilets and showers were very dated as were pot wash sinks and electric tripped regularly over 2 nights when heating was required. Such a pity as with some investment and regular maintenance this could be a superb site.
Just home from a two night stay, and we absolutely love the place! Beautiful view of the river, pitches are large and immaculate, all amenities were spotless ! Staff are so friendly and helpful. Great place for families! We will definitely be going back, one of the best places I have been this summer !
Visited here for past 4 years. Quiet just now as English school holidays have not started but weekends are busy. Site and facilities are basic but immaculate. If it's a bar you want don't go. If it's a well run, friendly, well maintained site with space to move about, this is for you. Highly recommended and I'll be back.
My 1st family camping trip here was an absolute disaster but not because of the camping site it never stopped raining, we only actually stayed 1 night even though we had booked 3, our supposedly waterproof tent was leaking. Anyways what a beautiful camp site, right on the river, a playground, games room, takeaway which is very reasonably priced, a large field, dish washing area, toilet and shower blocks which were clean but they could do with being updated & a little warmer inside, that's the only negative I came across. The staff were warm & welcoming, the other campers were friendly 2 of them even gave us a hand putting our tent up. I'm absolutely certain if the weather was better we would have had the best time camping here & we would definitely return. It only cost us £93 for 3 nights for 2 adults & 4 kids in the school holidays.
Love this site close to river not far drive to Richmond and Catterick great for the kids especially in summer
Great campsite just outside of Richmond in Yorkshire. Level pitches with grass and hard standing. Toilet block clean and accessed by a key. Also includes one cubicle with a toilet and washbasin. Hot water in all the sinks and showers. Hairdryer 20p. Let down by having outdoor washing up. Would definitely recommend staying. Within walking distance Richmond. Staff are friendly and there is a small shop.
Excellent site pitched on river bank loved it,this is what it's all about 10/10 all toilets showers and water amenities excellent highly recommend
Fantastic site, beautiful location,very helpful and friendly staff. This site is now on our return to list. Restrooms: Nice and clean. Dog-friendliness: Don't have a dog but if you do it's very Dog friendly.
