Lovely traditional country pub with the most delicious dinners, lots to choose from at a good price. The staff were friendly and courteous and even better they smiled when they served me and my friend . Made our dinner even better. Will definitely be back

Excellent pub for a nice lunch. We turned up 16 of us and got seated straight away. Was already busy so slight delay with the food but not long at all. Very impressed the kitchen came out to check if my 'no onion' request was by choice or an allergy. It's an allergy so I was really pleased they took the time to ask. The food was lovely. My Mrs had the pork snitzel which was lovely. My cheese burger was great. Table service meant the bar was easy to get to and from and the staff were great. I have been to lots of pubs and reviewed a few and this us definitely in my top three. I wish this was nearer my house it 1hr and 45mins away. Excellent place.
We arrived unbooked during peak Sunday lunch time. Tables were immediately moved to fit us in. The roast was wonderful and huge, good value at £14.50 per head. To big for my wife but a doggy bag was provided with no problem at all. We will definitely revisit frequently.Service: 5/5
We had just completed a walk to Walwick Grange and back and decided to pop in to eat. Sharing a starter of mackerel pate we got a very generous plate of delicious pate and crispy toasts plus salad. The main courses were again generous and delicious mixed grill and homemade fish pie plus side veg.Service: 5/5
Nice food, good variety. Gluten free, not so good. Mackerel pate very nice but no gluten free bread to accompany ! Doesn't really work eating a bowl of pate with a little salad. Otherwise, food was tasty and service good.Rooms: 4/5
Called quickly for an evening meal , adequate parking area, warm friendly pub with welcoming staff , clean and tidy .. for Food there was a specials board .. and a Festive Fayre menu was on offer .. wait time for service of the meal was no more than 20 minutes ,Service: 4/5
Staff are so friendly and accommodating. We all had a starter and a main and it was all delicious. Lovely cosy atmosphere.Service: 5/5
Went for a Christmas meal with friends. Meal was great but it was so cold that some customers left their costs on. Felt the radiators and they were cold. Where thermals if you visit the restaurantService: 4/5
