Excellent location just on the River Wye. Nice view across the river to fields beyond. Food i.e Sunday roast was very nice, piping hot, very good portion sizes. Service was very good also and friendly from recently new owners. Nice outside terrace with plenty of seating and outdoor lighting for a lovely atmosphere. Toilet facilities are very clean and pleasant. I would recommend The Boat Inn to anyone as we had a lovely time.... Thank you to all the staff.
Top class food! The bacon and cheese burgers are the best I've ever had! And the onion rings were battered with the lightest crispiest batter it was awesome. And I highly recommend the raspberry sorbet it was incredible! Large portions too, reasonably priced. Overall fantastic!
Wow what great views. Whilst visiting Dorstone we decided to visit the Boat Inn, what a great decision that was. The staff were extremely fry and helpful plus the views from our table were just amazing, look at my photographs. My partner and I had lasagna with garlic bread, our meals were really nice. The garlic bread was extremely tasty and the lasagna itself was nice and meaty with plenty of flavour. I highly recommend the Boat Inn to anybody visiting the area, we will gladly visit the Boat Inn again in the future...
Food was very nice, lovely warm fire and a view to die for as we tucked into Sunday lunch which they serve till 8pm!! Also joined in with the bingo evening. Lots of laughs and a thoroughly good evening. They even deliver locally on just eat. Seriously what is not to love? Try the boat inn, you won't be disappointed.
A great place for a stop over on a canoe adventure on the River Wye! We had a delicious meal and were very well looked after. There is also a landing stage and space in the garden to lock the boats up while we slept at the campsite across the road The Pound. The beer was refreshing too!!
We were taking a backroad to Swansea and during a brief period of cellular data, my daughter not driving saw this place. Cozy, warm and friendly. We got a table just before sunset and had a beautiful view and a lovely supper. A few local-ish beers on tap completed the meal nicely.
Good home cooking and very friendly staff. Beautiful view with River Wye yards away. Watch wild fowl plus otters if lucky. Great for a summer's evening.
Staff were brilliant had spoken to them before stopping there,make sure they could accommodate us. No problem at all food was good especially the home made soup. Thanks all and merry Xmas Ray
Absolutely disgusting service from you and your staff this evening. 6 adults walked into the bar having pre booked a table last night to be told immediately we haven’t booked a table before even saying the name or time we had booked! Just the way you spoke to us was enough to put us off before we’d even started! You proceeded to tell us we wouldn’t be seated as we hadn’t booked! Still at this point you didn’t know what name our table was under! We then waited whilst the one member of staff went out of the bar to ring the barmaid who was stood in front of us. After a few minutes we’re then told to take a seat in the most uncomfortable and awkward atmosphere I have ever experienced!! No wander we booked a last minute table elsewhere and left! Although there was another man at the bar saying they told him he hadn’t booked a table either even though he had so maybe tonight wasn’t the night to visit! It’s always been a place we’ve raved about previously! But the experience we had tonight was absolutely disgraceful!! Burton Hotel in kington to the rescue for mums birthday meal
Had a excellent meal deal ,plenty of food. Beautiful setting. We will definitely return.Rooms: 5/5
