We only stopped here for a quick pint and I must say, the hospitality of the Barman was absolutely top class! The establishment is very cozy and inviting! and the pint was just perfect
Called in for a pint and reflection after attending the funeral if an old mate of mine. I used to frequent this pub as a regular from the late 60's to the early 80's and called in for a pint and to remember the good old days. Although the pub, like many over a period of years has changed, much of the interior is the same as it was back in the day. I wondered if I would see any of my old friends and aquaintances there but alas no. Instead, a couple of old geezers like myself popped in during the time I enjoyed a refreshing pint of real ale. The service was friendly and the choice of ales sufficient so I definitely wouldn't complain. I didn't try the food, but I have enjoyed it at other times in the last few years. All in all it's not a bad place and I will call in from time to time when I'm in town and fancy a break from the hustle and bustle of Hereford city center. It was also good to reflect on many happy times spent there during my youth ......
Friendly atmosphere and the bar lady has an iron fist against any antisocial behaviour, making sure that the pub is open and welcoming to anyone who wants to come along and relax. Great beer from fresh kegs and buzzing atmosphere
Stopped in for a bite of breakfast. A bit late maybe, 11ish. Food didn't start until 12. I ordered a traditional coffee, like gpa would have, sat and read until the sausage and mash came. Next to the coal fire, it was all very good. Staff was excellent, friendly and accommodating.
Great Dog friendly pub, very helpful staff and good selection of beers.
We went here for lunch, and had a lovely time. The landlord is a great guy and super friendly, and bought over a printout with the history of the pub since I was busy taking photos. Which I thought was very nice of him. They have a good range of beers and wines, and the food is mediterranean. We had the tasting platter, and a couple of other dishes which were more than enough for the three of us to share. It was quite quick and very tasty, and I especially loved the big beans! I would definitely go back!
Fantastic pub - super beers, great service and the lunches are brilliant. And added for 2019.....Definitely my favourite pub in Hereford! Great range of beers that are well kept by Andy and the team, lunch is good, breakfasts when the rugby's on! great and always a warm welcome. Looking forward to my next visit!
Great reception coming into the pub, and was warmly welcomed. Great beer and traditional setting. What's not to love?
Great food not a massive menu but obviously freshly made and friendly relaxed service. Chilli, curry, jacket potatoes , sandwiches. Nice place to watch the world go by
