Booked a table for two, arrived and were seated straight away, ordered but then a table of 15 were due and a table of 30 turned up and unfortunately they took priority, feeling a little ‘wow what have we done’ to WOW apologies and a lovely complimentary dip/olives and bread turned up along with an offer of a drink on the house. Christina the main waitress was worth her weight in gold, looked like she and one other chap who appeared to be the manager/owner couldn’t of done more. Our mains arrived and they had the wow factor, I had the lamb which was seasoned, tender and certainly he best I’ve had in any restaurant and my partner had the rodeo burger, again the best and puts many others to shame. I would certainly recommend this restaurant, the food is fantastic, Christina and her staff are fab and so far outshine any other in Colchester.

Great bar/restaurant! Extensive drinks list which includes draughts, wine and many cocktails. Excellent atmosphere and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend!

Boadicea is a classy but relaxed bar and restaurant. When we've eaten or drunk here the staff worked their best to ensure we got the best of service and the food was stunning in both presentation and taste. Having been here a few times, Friday and Saturday night includes a live DJ who plays a wide range of music from the best loved cheesy 80's classics to the very latest in dance, house and charts. The music mix makes for a lively atmosphere where drinking, chatting and dancing are equally welcome - oh and the place is open until 2a.m. Thursday sees a live singer and they're usually pretty good (there is the occasional duff one, but as they play for background music they're easy to block out). Man alive when they throw a party its a good one!
