Classic english pub with good drinks (not big variety but adequate). Very friendly staff and perfect decoration. You can also listen to music from a long play record. Very good atmosphere with smooth lighting.

THE best place in Colchester to get bottled Belgian beer. If that isn't your tastes, you can also get a couple of real ales, ciders and spirits as well. Andy is a fantastic guy, and will always try to recommend you drinks you will enjoy. Do yourself a favour and check this place out, it's fantastic!

Wonderful friendly atmosphere and great selection of Belgian more local beers. Selections of proper cider too. Comfortable cozy and welcoming

The pub is really small, but is well situated, close to Colchester Castle. There are usually a couple of ales available, including one brewed by the proprietor. What is special about the place is the range of bottled Belgian beers and various lagers. There is a small stage area for bands to play. It is an authentic, old building and I recommend it to visitors. My photo reveals that, on the outside, it is no oil painting. Do not be put off !!

Great beer. Awesome selection of music, which you can choose the vinyl yourself and put it on.
