Christmas Dinner was absolutely amazing. I'm not just saying this because it's Christmas, I can be critical when it comes to food but in all honesty I have never eaten a nicer, tastier Christmas Dinner ever, and I dine out most year's paying a lot more money than I did today. A 3 course Christmas lunch for £58 amazing. Everything was cooked fresh and to perfection. The veg had didn't notes of herbs and the gravy was devine. Couldn't fault it. Will definitely return. The staff were amazing and although we had a 45minute wait for our food, it certainly calmed us when we tasted it. Well done all who made our family of 6 happy today
Visited the Bluebell Inn on 3 occasions within four weeks & couldn't fault the food or service. Friendly staff, great choice from the menu planner & meals served within a reasonable time-frame. Meal prices were reasonable. Plenty of parking outside the front or at the back & outside seating or plenty of space inside. Clean cosy environment. Until next time when re-visiting the UK from Australia.
Had a disappointing time here. The staff are all friendly but the service is lacking. The prices are too high for what is on offer with a pint of lemonade costing £4!!! The food is OK but does not warrant the prices being charged as it doesn’t seem like freshly cooked produce. The lasagne is obviously portioned into the dish then reheated, I assume it comes in pre cooked rather than cooked in house. The mash tastes like frozen pre cooked and reheated mash also. The chicken on the duo was dry and likely overcooked to start with and then reheated. The service level was poor. For a start when booking a table for a birthday we were not advised there would be a pub quiz on which completely killed the atmosphere. Once the quiz started everything took too long and had to be chased up with the bill having to be paid at the bar as it was never seeming to arrive at the table. The second star on this is only due to liking the starter sharing platter which was actually really nice but would all be from packets and jars so not much that can go wrong. For the prices of food I would expect fresh home cooked food. I will now await the cut and paste response they give to all negative reviews which shows they do not take the feedback on board.
Absolutely stunning food. Superb quality and creativity, brilliantly prepared and presented. My chicken and chorizo kebab was a symphony of flavours. Plus a relaxing atmosphere pitched just right. I’ve never been so elated by a pub meal before. Sincere thanks to the whole team~
Found this gem when visiting our son at uni . 8 of us had a wonderful evening meal, great that it accepts dogs . A lovely warm fire, a nice expansive menu, we had Lasagne, beef and Ale pie, chicken New Yorker, and a special of Roast beef . Nice cappuccino and friendly staff, lovely wooden beams features, make sure you mind your head as low ceilings. Profiterole was nice and the chocolate brownie Sunday was excellent. Would definitely return.
What a great Pub, from the reading glasses and charger cables on the bar to borrow if your without, to the great staff, food and drinks. We came for a drink and stayed for lunch. Fantastic and would definitely recommend. Pic is of the Mezze sharing platter. Yum
Lovely dog friendly pub woofers made welcome with doggy treats on the bar and for their human companion's excellent food in a nice setting.
Excellent service. Good food. Clean and tidy. No issues. Would visit again.
A very pleasant experience from first walking through the door. We were greeted, welcomed and show to a table. Drinks were ordered from the waitress and brought to us very quickly. Food was ordered and delivered fairly quickly considering the number of other diners. It was served hot and was delicious. The staff were very obliging, all in all a delightful experience.
Fabulous warm and friendly pub. Great staff, lovely surroundings and really fantastic food. The team work really hard to ensure every diner and customer just popping in for a drink have a great experience. Weekends see some great live music too. If you’ve never checked it out then you’re missing out. Pay them a visit it will really be worth it.
