We had a meal here last night and the food was absolutely delicious. I had the lamb neck that was so perfectly cooked it was amazing. My wife had the roast chicken which again was lovely, it comes with light and dark meat, a really nice touch. My son had the steak which was honestly the best bit of steak we've ever eaten! yes were those people that all eat a bit of the others food Then comes desert!! The warm chocolate mousse is a tenner well spent! The staff are lovely too. Couldn't recommend this place enough. Honestly, best food we've ever had in a restaurant.
Seems like a really nice place, I had a latte and a pint of scrumpy which was thoroughly enjoyable. Lovely open fire, so nice if it's particularly cold outside. Will be coming again as it's just down the road, to sample the food which by all accounts is very good amd we can bring the Weiner too which makes it even better.
Lovely hotel in a beautiful village. Delicious food, excellent wines, and very friendly service. The slow cooked Welsh lamb neck was a particular highlight. I felt that nothing was too much trouble and all staff were eager to help in whatever way they could. Recommend the pub quiz on the third? Friday night of the month.
Review for the restaurant. Simply brilliant and really worth the trip up from Aberystwyth. Excellent service, very good menu and delicious food. The puddings were just perfect end to a very very good meal.
We arrived on motorbikes in torrential rain. Tracy and her colleagues couldn’t have been more welcoming, friendly or helpful. Wet kit was taken to the drying room; the bar proved to be a fantastic place to get warm again!nThe rooms are good with excellent, powerful hot showers.nDinner in the restaurant was excellent, as was breakfast.nWe liked it so much we popped back the next day for lunch. The Welsh rarebit is definitely worth a try.
