Absolutely outstanding experience! We enjoyed a delicious three-course meal on New Year’s Eve, and every dish exceeded our expectations in both quality and presentation. We had the fish with crumbed poached egg, beef fillet and lamb. All three dishes were exceptional. The welcoming, friendly service was fantastic, from start to finish, and they even surprised my mum with a birthday dessert and candle while singing to her, which made the evening extra special. If you’re after top-notch local food and warm Welsh hospitality, this country pub is a must-visit
My boyfriend and I travelled to the village for a small Christmas get-away, as he had his birthday during our stay we booked a meal at the restaurant. I can honestly say it was the best meal I've had. The food was absolutely incredible, and they offered gluten free and vegan options. I had the roasted broccoli and cauliflower, I don't like cauliflower normally but I didn't want meat or fish that night so I decided to give it a go, and I throughly enjoyed it. There was so much flavour, it was served with pea shoots, pine nuts and golden sultanas which combined with the sauces made the meal absolutely mouthwatering. I had the creme brulee with blackcurrant sorbet for dessert and it was equally as good. We had 3 courses shared starter and spent £100 total. The ingredients were all locally sourced and the quality of the food was well worth the price. The staff were lovely and it was all-together a wonderful meal. I'd definitely love to go again, the chefs are insanely talented!
Stayed here for two nights, using 2 rooms. Rooms are spacious, really clean and very comfortable. Beautiful Welsh light blanket throws on the beds. Large well equipped bathrooms. Service was excellent with all staff friendly, efficient, non intrusive. Evening meal was delicious and again service easy, quick and friendly. Breakfast was really good, a wide array of food and again generous, well prepared and tasty.nOverall it was a really lovely place to stay - unpretentious, everything catered for in a friendly, light touch way. Definitely a hotel to recommend, especially as Tregaron and the surrounding area are beautiful and offer so much to visitors.
I've just stayed here for 3 nights with friends as a base for exploring the area. The hotel is very comfortable and full of character. And located close to many beautiful parts of Wales.nMy room was spacious, and the en suit shower room was very nice.nThe staff keep it immaculately clean, and were all very friendly and helpful.nThe food in the restaurant is first class, with a nice small and varied menu. So it was always nice and fresh.nAnd the bar had a good selection of local beers.nBoth the bar and restaurant are used by locals which is a testament to the quality, and adds to the atmosphere. And there is a lovely terrace and garden if the weather is nice.
Great food , friendly serviceand a comfortable room and bed.nThe shower was good and wet room was well appointed, located in the middle of town parking could be a problem as there not a lot of spaces.
