Went here for lunch I had beefchilli burrito with half chips half rice Joan had the special meat and potaoe pie with carrots was more veg but she did not want it was £ 31 for two meals and a pint of lager and half of bitter
Called for lunch with my family. Lovely refurbishment. The pub was quite busy. Greeted by a lovely young man who explained we would have a wait but we still went ahead with having lunch. Yes, there was a wait but worth it. Manager came to us for a chat and apologies for wait. Lovely lady. Food was delicious, very generous portions. Once up and running to full capacity of staff it can only get better.
Managed to get in with only 20 mins notice on a weekend. Staff were very friendly and very efficient. Vegan menu was good, can't comment on the rest of the options though. Parking was a bit tight but managed to get a space in the actual car park rather than on the road which was pretty full. Would definitely go back.
Just had a lovely meal out at the Black Horse. The mushrooms on toast were gorgeous, the garlic was just right - no need for tic-tacs and so well presented with the drizzle. The place has so much character that we love. The staff were so attentive and really looked after us To be honest, all 3 courses I had were absolutely amazing. Oh and did I mention the dessert - the bread and butter pudding I need more of that - next time maybe If you haven’t been and you’re local, I highly recommend the Black Horse at Endon

Fantastic lunch today, Busy but nothing was too much trouble, The food was hot and delicious and The service was fabulous. A all round great experience. We’ll definitely return.

My partner and I were looking for new places to eat and we came across The Black Horse on Google with multiple 5 star reviews so we gave it a try. Safe to say the reviews weren't lying, fantastic food, friendly staff and all at a decent price too!! One of our new favourite finds. ‍
Really nice food and was great to see a great vegan menu since my mum is vegan and she normally struggles to find anything. But this was great, lots of choice for her and its all homemade aswell. I had steak and ale pie and it was delicious, glad that I could have a normal menu so there was enough choice! Staff were also super friendly, definitely recommend!
Took a friend for her birthday meal, it was my first time here, the staff very friendly but not pushy, food excellent and found it reasonable price. O and there onion rings were fab!!
