After a recommendation to eat here we finally found the time and made a reservation. As it’s a very popular pub / restaurant you must book if you want to eat and drink at peak times. We found the food to be delightful and especially liked the little plates section which was great for kids or adults who simply didn’t want a big meal. The drinks selection was also great with a lovely selection of ales. Overall a lovely experience and meal and am very happy ti recommend.
This Stafford Arms is situated in the charming village of Bagnall. The restaurant is stylish and the waitresses were excellent and informed us of the specials for the day and were very attentive, without being overly watchful. The menu was extensive and lots of good choices. I had the blade of beef which was sublime. An all round hidden gem
Had a lovely lunch, ....fish finger butty & hot chicken & bacon sandwich both with chips really nice ...very friendly staff will definitely go back
First time visitors to this lovely pub restaurant. The food was absolutely gorgeous and very well presented and reasonable. The service was ever so slightly delayed but with a large party and a big table of 6 just ahead of us, that's forgiven. A really lovely meal and nice atmosphere. Recommended
Haven't been for a while, but now we've moved to the area, will go more often. 1st class service, great staff, fantastic food, value for money, not a bad thing to say about the quality or taste. Thoroughly enjoyed it, even had dessert. Will be booking again very soon. Hubby loves the different ales.
Lovely setting, very clean, fine ambience, comfortable seating, friendly welcome, good service and very good food.
This is a great place. Dog friendly, staff are lovely, food is very good. This will be a place that we will be returning to regularly would recommend to anyone. Even the local clientele are really friendly and made us feel very welcome.
Very good. The Bass is excellent and as an added bonus they had Hook Norton on as well. All in all very enjoyable and dog friendly too, give it a visit I don't think you'll be disappointed
Just taken my parents for a beautiful meal. Good, tasty pub food presented well and delicious. Empty plates all round. Thank you. We will be back.
Been coming in here for 20 years, food has always been on point. Menus are seasonally rotated and there's plenty of vegetarian options the wife's a vegetarian. Service is always pretty faultless, all the staff clearly care and are attentive. Party of 15 this weekend, 3 courses and all of us enjoyed the experience, many thanks.
