It's a nice typical old style pub. Very clean nice & welcoming staff very helpful without being over the top. We had lunch & were warned that mine could take a little longer to cook. When the food arrived which wasn't that long I had the Tandoori sizzler & my partner had the Hunters chicken. It was presented well & tasted fantastic, I'll certainly visit here again. Didn't have a dessert as there wasn't room sadly. Maybe next time.
Nice country style pub with good food, not a 5 star place but good. The sizzlers were excellent, and also the peppercorn sauce I had with it. My friend had the roast of the day and wasn’t pleasantly impressed that the carrots were overboiled and not roasted nicely. Huge quantity of gravy. Free Parking available in front.
Good food, good ale nice pub, and the prices was decent. Will definitely be coming back.
Me, my partner and her family had a fantastic time here. The service was spot on and the food was fantastic! But as I am a vegetarian I ordered the Vegan sizzler.. just be aware before ordering that it came with a what it seemed like to be 1 cut up onion around the entirety of my meal, but overall the meal was banging
This is a lovely pub with a great atmosphere and great selection of drinks available. Menu is big, good value and great kids menu too. Disappointed with gf options as sizzler menu meant only plain steak, gammon or pork as options. Sausage and onion rings removed but not offered anything as replacement and same cost of meal? Gf sausage widely available now and there is only 1 on menu. Or larger slice of other meat thanks. Homemade chips are fab
Very busy pub restaurant. Tiled floors mean its very noisy when full. You dont get service with a smile, the staff seem too stressed for smiles. We were a party of 10. The food arrived and any "sizzlers" were served with what must have been a whole onion each!! I like onion but prefer it as a side dish! Food was just average, cheap and cheerful but plentiful. Special mention to the two waitresses who worked really hard and ensured orders were correct.
I have been here a couple of times and I can believe what an amazing pub it is. The staff are amazing and welcoming. The food is fantastic. I would recommend this pub to anyone.
I am giving it a 3 star , the staff were great to be fair , lovely polite staff they do run about for you if you need anything. Soon as I arrived the place hit me with a strong insense smell , I don't know why but I never experienced that walking into place to eat , dominated the whole place that all I could smell. Food was average in my opinion chips were nice but abit greasy , the desert tho was nice . The chemistry and atmosphere is council estastey , loud and swearing customers , weather spoons type of crowd . Everyone's preference I guess .
Chips were the best ever. The vegan burger was a massive disappointment. Very cheap and rock hard. If your not vegan then it's a good place to eat
Today came in for lunch haven't been in for years. Food was excellent and staff were too without being over the top . Definitely will be back soon the sizzler was just delicious thank you for a lovely lunch
