Dined here after a walk in the local area, we just wanted somewhere to warm up, rest and enjoy some hearty food and this place delivered! The Festive menu offers a good range of options at reasonable prices. The service was fast and friendly. Being a small and traditional pub, the drinks on offer are fairly dissapointing. A nice local ale would be appreciated!
Easy booking . Friendly welcome staff were great with the kids. Food lovely Sunday roast vegetables not over done.. Definitely recommend. Thank you we had a lovely time
This was an excellent pub. I used to live in the village so used this pub quite often, along with family and friends. So disappointed. Don't seem to care about the village at all now. Nor passers-by. Opening hours are ridiculous.Service: 2/5
Absolutely the nicest meal I have ever had!!! Gammon was cooked to perfection, the beef stew in Yorkshire was also cooked perfectly, no fatty pieces! I had double helpings if the strawberry ice cream, gorgeous!! The staff are absolutely lovely and friendly, extremely helpful! I absolutely cannot recommend this place enough, shop and cafe right next door is an added bonus!! EDIT: I'm a wheelchair user and had to get out to get in the door. There is a very low step to get in. Once inside I was able to get around in the chair but the toilet wasn't accessible. I haven't taken a star off as staff and patrons very helpful in assisting us!
Fantastic place! We stopped on the way to our holiday in Suffolk and again on the way back. Lovely coffee and great sandwiches, the best we had all week! Huge portions and incredibly friendly service. This place is a great example of diversification of a pub and I hope they do incredibly well, the team certainly deserve it! Thanks for making us feel so welcome. :
I've been using the Cafe in the mornings. The ladies in the Cafe are very hospitable. The food is cooked fresh and it great value for money. You can sit in and eat, Take away or enjoy the outside garden. You need to try it.

I visited this Pub yesterday with my sister and daughter, we had Sunday Lunch. Must say I really enjoyed the food it felt home cooked and my roasties were just lush and crispy. The staff were extremely friendly and I thought this was very good value for money would recommend.
Great local pub with super friendly people and great service. If only the food matched the service. Fish and chips was great, but cheese burger was very ordinary for the price. Calamari starter was unfortunately not wonderful either. Food needs to be more exciting for the price! Will go back to try other menu items. Come on guys, spice it up as you have a wonderful location and great and friendly people!
Nice friendly pub but roast wah a bit basic and beef was cut very thick it was a bit tough it's a shame because we had a lovely afternoon.
