Very friendly welcoming staff who literally took me to the phlebotomy dept. No waiting. The blood sucking department shuts at 2pm. Jon Mills three spikey prehistoric Birds In Trees sculptures in the foyer are truly wonderful to behold.
Visited here to see a love one. The English nurses were great, the foreign, not so great. It was obvious that the foriegn ones received their "qualifications" abroad and were only hired as boxes needed ticking. They were absolutely clueless. The care and attention received from the British nurses was top notch. The food wasn't too bad neither. Overall, the best hospital I've visited in the Midlands thus far.
I had an amazing experience in the hospital from day one passing by birth and post- natal care. Excellent, experienced and efficient staff all the way, from triage, prenatal, delivery suite and post natal, I was treated with care and respect to all my needs before during and after birth. I had an epidural when I asked for due to the severe induction pain, which was professionally given. Amazing polite and caring staff, I can recall: Midwife Sarah from ward 5 post natal transitional care, from delivery suite Midwife Emmy and Hollie, Dr Emad and Dr Jenny with her beautiful and confident smile, I really thank you all from my heart, bless you all.
We, somewhat unexpectedly, welcomed our first baby here. The team of midwives, doctors at Birmingham Women's were exceptional. A huge shoutout to Emily, the midwife looking after us in the Birthing unit- she was empathetic, caring, clear and always safe in providing care. My wife felt very safe being looking after by her. The Birthing environment was wonderful with a pool to labour in and warm showers. We truly cannot understate how these lovely people provide such an essential service at high quality even under the most pressured circumstances - they are truly heroes!
I had my elective c section here 10 days ago and it was the best experience ever, i was so terrified but the team were so funny and chilled it made things way less scary. Everything went perfect and they delivered my baby safely and quickly - i cannot thank them enough and would 100% recommend an elective section here to any and everybody. All of them including the midwives on the ward afterwards definitely do not get paid enough for the service they offer you!!
If it wasn't for this hospital and amazing staff my grandson wouldn't have survived. He was born 13 weeks premature, he was in hospital for 13 weeks and left the day he should have been born. He is now 19 years old, about to go to university and is an amazing sports man, winning numerous medals and championships. I just want to thank the NHS staff and give others hope.
Worst pregnancy experience due to THIS hospital. Nice outside looking but rotten inside and filled with incompetents and careless staff. I feel sorry for the few members who probably take their job seriously but this hospital should close. I’ll wait after my delivery to take all the time to write about them. But I wanted to WARN the women who did not choose this hospital yet and hopefully will lesson to my advice and the others bad reviews because everything is accurate. Run for your mental health and spare you some useless stress.
I'm incredibly grateful for the exceptional care I received during my emergency C-section at this hospital. The midwife team provided amazing support throughout my labor, and the surgery team handled the C-section with such professionalism and skill. Thanks to their expertise, my recovery has been smooth, and I'm so thankful for their dedication.
Had a prolapse operation done on ward 8 last week . My consultant Dr Bayli and her staff were amazing! I had my surgery done on a Sunday as waiting list was big and Dr Bayli was doing an extra day . I had THE best care , the nurses were attentive and kind and I felt safe and very well looked after from start to finish . Brilliant hospital and very positive experience Thank you all , you are very special people
Since moving to birmingham, BHAM womens hospital have served me very well, obviously the long waiting lists are demoralising but all the staff have been extremely apologetic about this and have offered support when i needed it. I had surgery here recently, and the thing that stuck out to me was how willing they are to make sure i was as comfortable as possible, ensuring i had a cuppa as soon as i was able to : all the staff have been lovely and theyre communication is top notch
