Intimate theatre space that doesn't have you squinting to see the stage and therefore words for actors addressing the audience. Performances here are always emotive and speak to the soul. A great bar area too, to meet up with friends before & after the show. Very close to the tube which is handy on a cold night in winter/ or wet in spring.
Nice intimate theatre space. Hadn't been for a number of years, so it was nice going back. Performances are always interesting. Hoping to go again soon. On another note, annoyingly, during a performance of 'The Wedding Speech' two people came in late - they were noisy coming in, then whipped out crisps which they munched through noisily, then opened a can of drink. It's not the cinema where you can eat what you like. Quite disrespectful to the performer.
I love what this place stands for but my experience at the venue was ruined by over hot conditions. There is a huge aircon system in the foyer - why isn’t it turned on?? Absolutely baking hot. Wine was truly awful. At least the people and theatre is good but please sort out the temperature it’s unbearable. I was unable to enjoy the show because I could barely stand the heat.
First visit and wish I'd discovered it sooner. A little gem just a short stroll from Warren Street. Already planning my next visit.
Awesome local theatre. Aww Mattie May there a couple of weeks ago. Would definitely go again to see other local shows.
Very nice little theatre, a great night out with friends, pocket friendly performances.
Staff are all extremely friendly and helpful. Newly renovated bar area is spacious and comfy. Performance space is comfy and intimate, too. And they always have a great programme on offer. Brilliant small indie theatre - London needs places like this.
I went to see a performance about mental health and sewing and I liked it
Great place, friendly and good priced.
Great theatre, went to see a friend in a scratch night which was diverse and entertaining. The staff were super engaged with supporting the artists as well as helping the audience. The theatre had prepared feedback forms for the audience to fill about the pieces, and collate that information for the artists to develop their shows. The staff feedback too, it's a really supportive environment for artists. Also a great night out for me!
