Excellent place to practice yoga in the heart of Nottinghill. When I first walked in I immediately felt good energy and vibes and my mind relaxed. The classes are all given by fantastic teachers and all are highly qualified. Definitely recommend this place, it's a must! Felt almost like a spiritual yoga ashram in the middle of London!
Nothing against the class itself as the teacher was lovely and the class was exactly what I expected. Same level of experience as in any other good yoga studio in London. But - charging £21 for a class is outrageous. I felt completely ripped off. Especially, because it’s yoga. I attended a class focusing on mental health, low self esteem and I was charged £21. This is by no means accessible to all people. And it should be. Triyoga has put their prices for mental health classes down. I was shocked there was no one off introductory offer either. I was either asked to pay £55 for unlimited 1 month access which I didn’t want to do as I wanted to try it out first or pay £21. Im still in disbelief. It left a horrible aftertaste and I will not be coming back and neither my friend who I came with. I give 3 stars just because the class was good.
I attended a Nature Connection and Storytelling walk today in Kensington Gardens with Olusola Adebiyi AKA Sola Story. The whole experience was wonderful. I felt deeply connected to nature,to myself and to the group. Sola Story has a magical ability to gently guide the group through various practices to a deeply healing and connected place. More offerings like this please. Thank You
Aarti Shah is an iconic miracle healer. Her work is magic. I was suffering from a severe back injury and found Aarti which has been a life changing experience for me. I value and respect her work and am eternally grateful. Heartfelt thank you’s Aarti Carolyn
The Life Centre is a great place to practice yoga and I love coming here. The teachers are all so so knowledgeable and so happy to share their wisdom and life experiences which makes it a great place to learn. The classes offered are so varied so there is always something new to try and something to keep me on my toes. The reception team are all so friendly and caring that it makes it seem like a little family :
Been a regular at the Life Centre's Yoga classes for 6 years. Such a great variety of classes and teachers - something for everyone at all levels. Recommend their new joiner pass where you can try out lots of classes and decide which ones suit you. Most classes are different types of yoga but they also have some Pilates, pregnancy or new baby classes, and massage and other kinds of therapies. There are lots of one-off workshops too focussing on particular areas or themes. A lovely venue - a disused chapel I think - and central location but in a quiet back street. Very close to Notting Hill Gate tube. You can just show up for most classes but there is also option to book in advance - very helpful for some of the most popular classes.
The Life Centre is great! I've taken around 50 classes and every teacher has been really good. It has a nice atmosphere and is very relaxed. It's my favourite place to do yoga in London.
Studio should be cleaned more especially in between some classes as it gets very thick with smell of feet and sweat ...some of the teachers arent very friendly one even said in a class "stick your bum out like a black dancer"- i think it was Margherita? I was shocked. And generally not a nice atmosphere to be in if I'm honest. Yoga is about peace kindness and love and it just felt very unfriendly and competitive.
The Life Centre Notting Hill is a great place to practice - on walking in you really appreciate the relaxed, welcoming, community vibe. The quality of teaching is outstanding and there are also some really experienced and gifted therapists offering treatments. It really is a haven for yoga and wellbeing and a great place to escape the stresses of the city.
I was a guest in London for a week, and found this great yoga studio by Google Maps. I attended 3 classes there over my stay: Vinyasana level 1 and 2 Yoga level 1 and 2 Vinyasana level 2 The studio is really great with bright skylights and an advanced composite floor that is easy to kneel on without a mat. All three of the teachers were fantastic. There is a nice men's changing room with a shower. This is a popular studio with a full schedule of classes, so it's easy to find one to fit your day. They used the popular "MindBody" appointment app that we use here in the US, so I felt right at home signing up for classes. I was made to feel very welcome as a "drop-in" by the kind lady at the front desk! I have to say that the Vinyasana 2 class that I attended was very advanced. The flows were very fast-paced and included advanced asanas like "crow" and "headstand" within the flows themselves. I found this both refreshing and challenging! It's great to attend yoga in a completely different country and see the similarities that flow from the ancient principles. Don't hesitate to keep up your practice while in London at the "Life Center Notting Hill"!
