Awesome old style pub with amazing food. My steak was cooked perfectly. The ribs just fell off the bone and the Beef and Guinness pie was beautiful, 10* for amazing meals. Not much more to say, simply stunning.Food: 5/5
Great place. I had a room for the night. Very spacious & bed was comfortable. The breakfast was huge & couldn't finish it all. Very good value for money. The staff were so helpful & friendly. It was a minute walk to my venue, so, ideal. I will definitely stay here again & recommend the place if I know anyone coming to Birmingham
Me and my husband stayed here for bed and breakfast. Lovely tidy, clean room, nice hot shower, tea, coffee facilities in room. Gorgeous full English breakfast included. Highly recommended Food: 5/5
I just wanted to leave a review to say a huge thank you to the door staff. Last night I was out with 2 of my friends and there was a man following us and shouting who would not stop despite us asking him to. We were scared and asked the bouncer of the bulls head if he could help us. He deterred the man away and watched him to make sure he did not follow us as we carried on walking.What may seem a simple thing is so important nowadays to ensure women’s safety and looking out for each other. I have never been in here for food or a drink but i definitely will in the future. Huge thank you
This is a classic English pub, mostly frequented by locals. Breakfast is a great value and the cheapest around. Dinner is also very reasonable and high quality. I recommend having one of the dinner pies. They come with chips done to perfection, peas, and salad or as a dinner with potatoes and vegetables on the side. Big portions.
Called in for lunch before heading back to Bristol. Lovely, original style old pub, lovely seating area in the lounge too. Ordered the Sunday Turkey lunch and the food was delicious. Lovely and hot as you would expect. Can’t fault this little corner pub, it’s atmosphere is great and the staff are lovely too…. We will call back here when we’re in the area again. Thank you for our lovely lunch before our long journey home.
Great pub. Fantastic home cooked food, simply done at a reasonable price. No gastro gimmicks here but serving traditional foods such as steaming hot Irish stew or traditional dinners are highly recommended. Food is mostly served to diners in the quiet lounge area to the rear but you can also eat in the bar if you wish. Five stars, order with confidence!

I went in their yesterday had to pay by card, the lady behind the bar asked me to type my pin in, instead of a touch payment which was odd because i could see on the device was clearly capable and halfway through i realised i was typing in a money order instead of my actual pin number and of course stopped as soon as i noticed, i was almost fleeced out of a fair chunk of change i cannot afford and immediately asked for a receipt, which i got. If that was an honest mistake that's ok but when i got a second drink the card machine miraculously worked with the touch payment. I checked with my bank because I didn't trust this place and luckily i was ok or i would have been seeking legal advice. Long story short, avoid.
