On a day when temp .was 32 degrees , on arrival the room had a red hot heated towel rail radiator that could not be switched off without cutting the hot water of the hotel . Only a few rooms have air conditioning and our room had no air conditioning .nStaffing levels poor .evening meal took too long and very disorganised . I felt sorry for the staff .food not memorable .nBreakfast ..lack of staffing again .nA good breakfast and the few staff working did their best . .nBar service and lunchtime .distinct lack of staffing .again . The staff working did their best and were rushed off theur feet .nThe hotel was full fron the event I attended and it had been booked in well in advanvnRoom card keys , very quirky as to if they would work or not .nStandard of room , not impressive. ,their stsgfc tired .the management do niot deserve the hard work of some of staff . Better management and organisation and staff suppor needed ..nBar prices quirky charged a different prices for the same order of the sane drink, I never disvitee the correct price that wasn't easy .nnA very quirky weekend in a hotel
Went for afternoon tea, food was very nice freshly made, nice big tea pot, which was great, most places give you a small tea pot & never enough to drink, so this was good. Lady from reception served us she was nice & friendly.nSadly furniture could do with a touch-up, looking a bit battered in alot of places. Parking-Does have afew disabled spot, other then that carpark very uneven with big pebbles would not wear heels walking over them. Also a few large steps to climb up to main entrance.nWe did not sleep here as live local.nAll in all nice place.
Spent weekend here for an event, the function room was excellent, however, the rooms were extremely hot and the staff would not allow the windows to be opened. It was so hot I only had 2 hours sleep per night. In addition, we had to continually return to the Reception often unmanned to get the keys cut again. I counted at least 8 visits were I got to the room only to find the key didn't work yes I was operating correctly, I even brought the guy on reception to the door to confirm. He dismantled the lock, put new batteries in and still it was the same! Can I add that most of the clients at the event had the exact same issues. BW you really need to consider upgrading your key card system and reviewing your ventillation policies in warm weather in addition to review your policies and training your staff to adapt 'rules' appropriate for your clients eg 2 x 60+ year old women - not really likely to be throwing ourselves out of the window, especially as they could have been opened from the top to ventillate completely safely!. Also there were no plugs/usb's anywhere near the bed, in fact 1 double socket in the whole room and I was informed they had no extension / multiple socket adaptors.
The best service from reception team we have ever come across. From moving rooms to transfer mattresses as well. Only downside was as a large group the dinner service was disappointing need to serve table by table and not all chicken etc to all 10 tables.nWould we stay here again -Certainly
Attended a conference at Craiglands Hotel and was really impressed with how smoothly everything ran. Check-in was quick and straightforward, which set a great tone for the day. The conference facilities were well organised, comfortable, and easy to navigate, making it simple to focus on the event. Overall, a very professional and efficient venue — ideal for conferences.
